Has anyone gotten a phony letter from CITIBANK and what did you do about it.

Yes--I got one again this morning from them. I average getting about one every two weeks. Also from US Bank. The funny thing is that I have NEVER had an account with either one!

I would forward it to citibank and they will track it down.

I had this happen to me with PayPal of all places. I thought at the time it was genuine. Looked just like PayPal. Anyway--I responded and ended up closing my account after answering one.
I now have the NEVER AGAIN plan for ANY bank credit card or financial institution. I simply call them---If I have an account there. With the Internet--who the hell knows where it's going.

Most of these spoofs come from Russia. If you right-click and hit properities, you can trace the addresses.

U got to be carefull there r alot of scammers out there who just want 2

at your expense.

yes I got one also a few weeks ago....I guess there are few dumb people that will click that link and give every bit of info about themselves ..I feel sorry for them

all I can say is Sir NEVER even reply or open that junk/virus kind of mail..never send anything to them...good luck

Forward them to the following address:

spoof@....

If it is eBay - then

spoof@ebay.com

If it is Citibank then:

spoof@citibank.com

If you get it sent to a Yahoo or Hotmail account make sure you have your settings on "full headers" so this way they xan get the entire message.
