2. PC Police. You know the ones you can't say Christmas Party, Merry Christmas and you are supposed to say Holiday Party or End of Year Celebration and of course Happy Holidays.

I was watching a local newscast last night and they had the director of the Jimmie Hale Mission (a local homeless shelter and soup kitchen) and he said they operate in the red 10 months a year and depend on the help they get during the holidays to budget the entire year.

...So thats my pet peeve. How can people be so charitable in December , yet not give a rats ass in June ?

there's just an abundance of spending this time of year, and it impacts more than just charities. Retailers survive because of the Christmas season

Well thats very true , but i was talking about the psychological aspect. When people give during the holidays they get that extra warm and fuzzy feeling and it makes them feel really good about themselves .... but if they make the same donation in June they dont get that same feeling.

After feeling warm, fuzzy, and charitable we spend the rest of the year purging.
