Fair enough...just like a game you are handicapping I feel like there is often a side that never gets examined in these debates. Just like emotional picks without research...

not trying to be picky, and not trying to throw out "Red Meat" as you called it.

But I have a problem with the wording on this report

Michael Bennett
MOST CHARITABLE NFL PLAYERS 2017

Here's what Julia Neudorf had to say
Speaking to NFL Network on Friday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks defensive end reiterated his plan to donate all of the endorsement money he receives this upcoming season to charities supporting inner-city programs.

I can also say in that link ( and I'm sure there are a lot more ) but there are 6 players, 3 are White

Just saying I know there has to be a lot more Players, white and black that are giving donations

But you obviously can't say that no black players are charitable which is what you more or less posted, agree?

I think at least half of the top 6 most charitable were black? Doubt they can be so far off that these folks are not charitable at all...i was responding to your post that implied only white nfl players gave. This is just not factually correct.

I like this one ... Love to see stuff like this.

like I said, I know there are many players, Black and White that even donate their time..

I think easterseals and St. Jude are major ones over the years that Players have helped big time

agree. There are some good people doing good things. Just need more of it!!!

Ok, i could see why you thought I meant it's only White players giving donations ...

My post that said it's Sad to think the "First" one to do this is White, was meant to be in response of ME thinking his Donation was for the equity movement thing.
that was for what's been going on Lately and what the Protest is suppose to be all about.

Meaning helping the current Kneeling cause.

again over the years, I have seen Much support for many many causes being backed by ALL colors and races.

I know that many players do provide for charities. Sometimes the donations are 10k sometimes they are more and every dollar helps. Even if they are doing it for selfish reasons, it still helps the charities. Donating 11+ weeks of game (or almost 75%) salary can't be too common of a gesture. Money won't fix all the problems but it will hopefully help.

endorsement money ..... What business wants his endorsement at this point.

As for Long. I can respect a man being charitable with his money to a cause he believes in. I have no reason to believe he has an ulterior motive for doing so.

With regards to education though .... we have pretty much proven that throwing more cash at the problem doesn't work. I don't begrudge his sacrifice or helping out and I don't hold it against him if he doesn't have the time to effect more change than his donation will but his money is a very tiny investment in the education bucket.

Still, I respect the act from people who put their money where their mouth is, even when I disagree with them about other things.
