Cant believe no one caught..."why do u care what is GOM is if your NOT here to bash". Thats why some are bashing, Shift...cause they ARE here to bash. :nohead: BOL Chop, but gotta agree its odd considering your title reads GOM and its just a 3. Guess many r peeved since its the same as your o/u. Kill it regardless.
This is funny. You say I'm here to bash, yet later in the same post you agree with the question I raised. I'm not "peeved," and I also wish Chop luck, both tonight (I have no action on the game) and in the future.

Honestly, I rarely visit this forum. I don't think I've ever read one of Chop's threads in the past. However, I saw "Game of the Month" in the thread title, so I was curious. I asked a question, Chop answered the question. In my eyes, that's the end of the story. If Chop thinks I was trying to bash him, I can assure him that wasn't my intention.

Good luck with the Tigers.

rj, I wasnt saying anyone, including yourself, was here to bash. Obviously, you still havent caught what I was quoting as far as Shiftly goes.
Chop, I understand what u r saying as far as April and May, I was simply pointing out the title of ur thread and the reason viewers were confused.

There's a big difference between thinking someone's 'beyond focused' and actually citing that he says he is and incorporating that into your capping. A huge difference. Someone that claims to be as brilliant as Ramonskee should know this. He'll take this as a personal attack but a) he knows i'm right b) i've criticized others that use the same argument. It's a flawed argument unless you can verify it somehow and a few years ago when I was naive and made this type of assumption it burned me. I know better now than to assume these things, but they can be very valuable tidbits of information and absolutely help in capping (especially in CBB) IF they are accounted by a news source or something of that nature.

agree. People using emotional factors as the basis for their play is retarded. On opening day people were like, hard to bet against the Nats, they really want this one to start their season off with a bang in their new stadium. It worked out, but in reality you really had no idea what they thought. Guys like Elijah Dukes could have had more important things on their mind, like whats a new unique way to get arrested. And secondly what made them think the Braves didnt want that game just as bad? No one wants to start the season off with a L.
In the CBB forum there were people saying UNC wanted the game more. How they measured a teams determination and compared it to anothers is beyond me. Theres no way to measure a persons feelings or emotions unless you are miss cleo.

Unfortunately we will have to prepare to listen to the pricks bash away....as cant see the tigers covering the runline tonight. Think this one needs to be chalked off as a loser chop.

At least its not as bad as last year, where the "no more than 3 units in April" rule got conveniently forgotten.

From last April 21,2007, Choptalk's GOM:

18-12 +935.00 +9.3 UNITS
Last night was the first real frustrating day of the season. If you followed along, you know what I am talking about. I have several games I like a good bit today, but I am a big believer in being hot and cold. I dont want to put myself out on a limb with a bunch of bets if im not running right so im going to stick this this one play(my top play of the season so far). 9-1 lifetime on Game of the months at this forum. Lets make it 10-1 .

Braves +110 $500 for $550

people, give it a rest.

Its alright.
Goes with the turf.

Bottom line is I am down 2.4 units on the season, and thats counting one game a loss that I really won.

Its such a long season to dwell on one game.
But if people want to thats fine.
Im already moving on to Monday.

Never said it was a rule. If I was up 10 units right now I might have put 4 units on tonights game.

you put way to much weight into overall past stats without really looking at them. in his last 20 IP vs the chisox he has given up 8ER and 11 hits. The guy is like 25 and debuted at 23. Things change, hes young.

howd the change work out for ya? :tongue2: lol

I didn't know you were friends with Mark Buerhle

if you're going to say someone is 'beyond focused' then at least cite some shit that refers to his mentality after his first game, something in the Chicago local papers or something, or maybe you are friends with him and had a conversation with him. Otherwise, try bringing something to the table other than your assumption that he's more focused after getting his ass handed to him last game.

i live in chicago sweetheart. i hear interviews once in a while. i heard buehrle. i watched the team. these guys are scary good SO FAR. focused, determined, and relaxed. add talented to that trio and you have a very good team.

CT : Until Detroit shows they can play solid as a team I suggest avoiding plays on them or against them. IMO the single biggest mistake the Tigers made was picking up Cabrerra from Florida. The kid has great talent but is very lazy & seldom gives 100% effort & top that off with a shitty attitude which = poison. Stay the course :103631605
