Cajun/Creole of course...(no Prejeans)...I'll be in town later today.

Yelp says Steve and Pats, Jolies, and Blue Dog

We were thinking Phares for oysters

Phares went out of business about 3 months ago.
Prejeans is my favorite .

I also love Charlie G's and Riverside Inn.

Bluedog is awesome on Sunday for the Sunday Brunch that starts at 10am.

I don't like Bluedog on any other day.
Pats sucks.
And Jolies is meh.

Brings back SUCH Fond Memories of N'awlinz and the so many small Grocery Stores that served great poboys for $3.99 (if even that) and that amazing place on Decatur St. with sandwiches so big and Fried Octupus that one would not imagine eating until they did then it became a Staple. Cafe du Monde with Free Day Old Breads (amazing) with the purchase of a coffee, Jax Brewery all the Crawfish you could eat with the purchase of a beer. Dixie Beer from the A&P then off to Jackson Square to stand as motionless as a Non-Mime could manage to get money for more Dixie Beer. Plummeting from the ropes mooring The Riverboat President to the dock while trying to sneak into a Free "Head East" Concert (Limited Free Tickets dispersed) while high on Cough Syrup falling into the Mighty (smelly) Mississippi River having to be pulled out soaked to the bone then kicked out of the concert not for trying to sneak in but for being smelly. Due to The River. Red Walled Yard where the Charity served fantastic & totally free Red Beans & Rice everyday.....

The Dungeon. Didn't even Open 'til MIDNIGHT lol.

SO many bars. Timeless partying. Stumbling out into The Quarter and...bright ass sunlight, 11:44 am....

wtf?

...nothing we wanted to try was open at 4 on Saturday. Settled for a pretty legit oyster poboy @ olde tyme. stepdad was yelling at the cooks (nicely) to make sure they only flash fried them...so they weren't too hard.

I was down for a beer thing @ parish brewing in broussard...

Ya...figured the bad timing part out. (though prejeans was jam packed) I had a small portion of that special too...just the 3 meats and cheese? thought it was pretty average...but I'm not a big fan of those kinds of sandwiches in general.
