Chip is a smart guy. Gets to live in Huntington Beach, gets paid very well, and really has no pressure on him winning.

Could have probably made more money at UF and coach better talent.....but he would have been put in the pressure cooker from day 1. Also coaching in conference that only 1-2 teams attempt to play D bodes well for his spread O.

How are they comparable? They are both loser coaches. If they put in Mora onto the Oregon job when Kelly was promoted, Mora would've won like crazy as well.... but it wouldn't have been b/c of him just as it wasn't b/c of Kelly. Both are shitty coaches. Sometimes shitty coaches are in the right place at the right time and you don't know how bad they really are.

At UCLA you will see that Kelly stinks up the bitch.

You just seem to hate him for whatever reason. I don't give a shit about Chip Kelly, but if you don't think this is a homerun hire for UCLA you're crazy.

Who do you think UCLA should have targeted to be their HC instead?

I don't hate him. He may be a great guy or he may be an asshole, but either way I could care less. I care about UCLA putting a winning product on the field. And the decision they made was: "We don't give a fuck!"

When Mora was hired by the Seahawks he was set up to fail b/c they were laying the groundwork for Pete to come in and build a world champion. And that's what happened. And that's what Pete did. Why? B/c Pete is a winner on the big-time level and the owner of the Seahawks knew that if you hire a champion, you have a good chance of producing championship-level results.

I'm telling you right now Chip the 300-pounder is a trash coach. Do you know who Rick Pitino is? Did you see him win championship? What happened when he left Kentucky? Tubby Smith took over and won a ring. And everybody knows Tubby couldn't coach a fly over to an outhouse even if you had 3 tons of the most highest quality shit in the outhouse. Tubby won that ring b/c he had the leftovers and the winning from Pitino. Then he eventually faded and went on to other programs and you saw his true level.

I'm telling you right now Chip Kelly is a trash level coach who benefited from the same thing what Tubby Smith benefited from. Bump this thread at the end of Kelly's tenure and you'll see I was exactly right.

Steve Sarkissian is another used car salesman masquerading as an old ball coach.

UCLA had a tremendous tradition of winning and winning big. The people in charge don't care about that and that's why they brought in Mora and that's why they brought in Chip.

Rinse and repeat.

You're acting like Oregon was dominating the recruiting wars. Good talent sure , but I don't think we had a top 10 class the year before he got there or during his reign . If anything ,Chip got more out of his team's then anyone could.

I like you Red, but don't be fooled by the shine.

Ask yourself, "If Cutler is the backup to Brady and he wins a ring and doesn't play a snap, would his stock rise?" You bet it would. And it's the same principle. I knew Sarkissian was a joke of a coach when he was at Washington and USC. Pure, absolute, unadulterated trash. I'm telling you right now the Chip Kelly is not a winning coach. This UCLA job will be very bad for him. He will no longer be able to ride the waive and won't have the excuse of "the NFL is a different beast".

Celebrate a 7-5 with Chip. Congratulate on a spectacular 8-4 b/c that is the best he'll likely ever do.

Give me four seasons for a record of 27-21 maximum:

7-5
6-6
7-5
7-5

Bowl games excluded. Above are the first four regular season games.
