Many say the bye week helps teams because they can heal up their wounded players, but in this case I think it was a liability for KC. Morton dropped some critical, but easy passes. They miss the FG. Holmes fumbles after a huge potentially game-turning play. They looked like amateurs out there. I think they lost focus with the week off. They saw winning this game as automatic and took a carefree attitude coming into it.
By the way, I like the Colts to win it all. I've had mixed feelings about Manning in the past. When I bet on his Colts, he throws 4 INTs, when I bet against him he has a career day. Guess who I bet on today?
Having said that, he does things like get to the line and get teams with 12 men on the field. He gets to the line, evaluates the defense and calls the best play. He is a throwback to quarterbacks like Jim Kelly who called their plays. I don't think that they'll be stopped. I like them to win over New England (but I want odds of course!!).
