Chiefs/Bears - Line change if Pats win?

Chiefs really have nothing to play for positionally if the Pats win. May want to try some things on D to shore up run Defense but will probably rest Holmes and others late to avoid anything freakish. However, if the Pats do win - any opinions on how this will effect the line? Assuming you would see it go down a little? ...and any other forseeable line changes due to earlier played games - Sat effective Sunday - Bengals effecting Balt, etc..?

Good point, the Pats play on Sat. I doubt they will take the Bills lightly, but should at least win on the field. This is one of those games where one team (Bills) has really nothing to lose and the Pats are under pressure to win. Homefield for New England is key, nobody wants to play at Arrowhead. The Pats minus 8 is a little steep in any case. If the Pats do win I can see the already very high 10 point Chief line drop a bit.

I dont know whether I answer this in a way that makes sense but here goes.
Regardless of the situation, all teams want to win. Last Week Carolina were in a position of, do they start their best players or rest them. They took the line of resting their players at the expense of maybe losing the game. After losing 4 of their last 5 games, the coaches decided on health more than motivation and covering the spread did not matter to them. The spread moved 2 pts during the week as information came out.
Kansas's situation is different. If New England win, then the game is pointless. However, I feel a loss would be devastating to the Chiefs at the moment. They will play their starters until the game is out of reach, which is how they would play if New England lost.
The bookies realise this, so I dont think the spread will change.
On the same topic I read that Parcell's has said he will play his starters this Week and that resting players is not on. It will be interesting if Dallas play Carolina in the play-offs.

i would think the current line has already priced in a patriots win on saturday. should the pats lose, i think you'd see the chiefs line go higher. if the pats win, i think it stays where it is.

still. . .would you guys take chicago @ arrow head? that is 6 points for the chiefs right there. even if they bench all key guys after the 1st qtr chicago might still struggle in that enviroment. god, why couldnt it be any team other than chicago?! theyare quietly playing some of the best football right now, but that is at home for them.....

da bears have a nice streak going against the AFC west. 8-0 at the end of last season and 3-0 this season. 11-0 ats vs AFCwest! gimme the 10! as for pats/bills remember in week 1 when the pats cut lawyer milloy and the team was thrown into chaos. buffalo whacked them 31-0. with AFC hf advantage in thier reach plus sweet revenge for a brutal loss against a div opponent i got the pats-8. GL 2 all.

Must agree with Winbet & Blue here, New England win is already factored into KC line. Don't think they would put up a key # like 10 if they thought it would move alot, and risk being middled or sided. Seems they have taken a position that NE is gonna win and will take chances by maybe moving the line up if Buffalo wins. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
