I'll be there, I'm right down the street form the federal building. This tax code has to go. On the Federal level, I support a flat tax rate and the inheritance tax has to go. While at my state level, all I can say is that we are simultaneously the most taxed in the nation while having the most corrupt government here in Illinois. :think2:

who are you to decide the amount? Is this liberty? Also, I am thinking of my heirs, not myself. I am self made, grew up in apartments.

Well if I inherited that much I would be happy to pay the tax. If the estate is less than that there is no tax.

You are not going to build your estate to over 2 million wandering around in front of the Federal bldg wasting your time.

Might meet a neat chick. No, that was in the 1960's, if you meet one it will be an Ann Coulter clone.

My point, again, is that no one has the right to decide what amount is 'fair' since , that money has already been taxed. Maybe others would not be so inclined and happy to pay tax on 2 million. Point is: that is not liberty the way our country's founders intended it, your moral compass or inherent benevolence have nothing to do with it. I would prefer Maria Bartiromo if I meet a clone btw.

Congrats on making more than $250K/year. :toast:

I love how the poor and middle-class are demonstrating for the wealthy despite being taxed less than they (the wealthy) were during the Reagan-era.:laugh:

If I made $20 per year it would not change the way I feel about liberty and the right to property. All should be taxed at the same rate, period. There should never be a success tax!!

Typical who cares unless it directly effects me attitude.
That's exactly how things like the holocaust happen.

"In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

According to Warren Buffet, which he said more than once, his secretaries tax rate is 30% while his is 15% :laugh:

They have you sooooo you brainwashed, its not even funny

http://money.cnn.com/2007/06/26/news/newsmakers/clinton_buffett/index.htm?postversion=2007062700

That is a problem with the tax code, not my ideals. Let's also mention the proposed gains in corporate tax, dividend tax, and capital gains tax? You're telling me that will never hit your pocket book? The pocket book of those in the middle tax brackets? you are the classic political douche, political and idealogical only insofar as it is pragmatic. You couldn't see a tree if you were looking a the forest. This is just the kind of low browed example I would ecpect out of a man that mindlessly defends his party. warren Buffet is simply stating that the tax code is severely flawed, you are the one too brainwashed to see that. ~~:<<

Let me get this straight, a tax code that treats all tax payers identically is flawed? Someone tell me why the success of an individual should be taxed? Better yet, why not a national sales consumption tax. I am sick of hearing, "the tax rate is going only from 35 to 39", or only the top .23% are affected. who cares? The point is all groups should be protected and are under our constitution, including the rich. poor, you name it. Taxes are a necessary evel, and should be treated as such.

Brokedicks rallying for the rich to pay less taxes.:lol:

I'm not broke, but i would rally for everyone to pay less taxes. That's not likely to happen, so I would settle for taxes being frozen where they are. Across all spectrums, including the Self employment tax.

How many people in Germany didn't care because they weren't communist, in a union, or Jewish? It's easy to talk in broad generalities on different topics, but in reality, it's all about how you speak or act when it's something that doesn't directly affect you but still affects others right?

Let me see, you’re comparing legalizing online gambling to genocide?

Exactly what I thought you'd say. Scary, and kind of sad.

You cite a famous saying from Nazi Germany in a thread about people who are pissed off about taxes and spending, and I'm the one making the over the top comparison?

My point is the same. Self interest for many supercedes fairness and justice for others. I merely pointed out a recent example by you.

So save your "first they came for my" platitudes if you're not willing to stand a little heat and truth using your own words.

If you already knew the answer then why did you ask?

The only question I asked was "How many people in Germany didn't care because they weren't communist, in a union, or Jewish?".

It was your response to joining Club Hypocrite that was predicatable.

:lol: I’m glad I didn’t disappoint you.
