Devin Hester - WR - Bears Bears think Hester 'turned the corner'
Hester also finished as the fantasy WR35 overall from Week 5 on, showing how much he improved on a week-by-week basis. He'll probably never be a great red-zone threat and still has never had a 100-yard game, but Hester is setup for a career year as the Bears' No. 1 receiver with Jay Cutler at QB. May 25

Devin Hester is to dumb to remember the plays and Jay Cutler will be just as bad in chicago as he was in denver. It won't take long for the chicago fans to start booing him.

the guy is good for one thing and that is stretching the field and drawing a safety, exposing the middle of the field. BTW, this is exactly why its a good thing for chicago. YOu have a QB that can throw the ball deep and throw zips right down the middle. Cutler will make chicago a much better tea, this year offensivley.

He did improve quite a bit and showed some strides towards the end of last year. I think he can be a solid reciever but more than anything, a threat and dangerous playmaker. You have to account for him with a QB like Cutler that can go vertical. He's not going to just pick up pass interference calls because after getting behind the defense he has to come back to get to Orton's under thrown balls.

Not saying he going to be an elite wr but the guy has shown strides.

Buress would be the final piece and with him they would be set for a run.

Hester has the IQ of a brick.
He routinely lined up in the wrong spot.
Maybe this year he will learn the playbook.Supposedly in college they tried to make him a WR but he couldn't learn the plays.

Hester is a good #3 WR, but nothing more. Cutler is going to suffer in Chicago because he will have no one to throw the ball to. People who think that the Bears will be vastly improved onoffense had better wake up and smell the coffee. The Bears have always put defense first, and this year is no exception. If the defense, which has been close to pathetic the past two years, can not improve, the Bears are an 8-8 team, and will not challenge the Vikes at all.

I agree, and if that defense does not improve, the Bears are going nowheres. It is not like the Bears couldn't score last year. 23 or more points in 10 games disproves that theory. It is the large amount of points that they gave up that killed them.

Devin Hester - WR - Bears Cutler: Devin Hester is a No. 1 receiver
Cutler said he hasn't talked to former teammate Marshall and is "100 percent comfortable" with the current Bears receivers. When asked about the team's perceived lack of a No. 1 receiver, Cutler replied: "I think we've got one in Devin [Hester]." June 17 - 4:24 p.m. ET

They don't have a good defense but they create turnovers unlike any other unit. That is the only thing that makes this defense effective despite the poor statistics.

Having an offense that can make a couple first downs and will also help their D.

They did score a little more last year but it was the defense that got them the ball in the redzone a good portion of the time not Kyle Orton. Not to mention scoring numerous defensive TD's.

This team won't be a world beater with their additions but they will be better than last year IMO.

They stress creating turnovers in practice. Can you rely on getting turnovers again next year?

The defensive line was worthless last year which is why they brought in Marinelli to coach it.They were either first or 2nd in the league in amount of times blitzing as that was the only way they could get any pressure on the QB. The secondary also has holes.

A lot of "ifs" with this team.

6/1 in Vegas to win it all. What a freaking joke.

I'll be happy taking the people that bet the Bears at 6/1's money next year. If I could short that bet, I'd do it with my entire bankroll.

Looking to fade the Bears for the first month or two next year.

well, the Bears might not have great receivers, they do have two very good tight ends. This could be a dangerous team in the two tightend set, two WR and 1 RB....run to set up play action...if Hester can learn to catch the ball he will stretch the field and that will expose the linebackers to the TE over the middle.

The Bears have possibilities, but the bottom line is that it all falls back to the defense. This team is not going to win games 31-28. They gave up 31 in Houston last year and it cost them a playoff spot.

A dangerous team running 2 tight end sets with 2 sub par receivers? Look, maybe they can have a competent offense, but I wouldn't stretch it and say a dangerous offense with what they have...

The Patriots of 07 had a dangerous offense
The Colts have a dangerous offense
The Saints have a dangerous offense
You could say San Diego has a dangerous offense

but the Bears ??? Really? Dangerous?

I am not a fan of the Bears but I actually think they have the chance to be explosive. It starts up front with their solid O-line, and anyone who watched Forte last year as a rookie had to be impressed.. he will easily be the best RB Cutler has had behind him in the last couple years. Cutler is a huge upgrade over Orton.. even if the conditions at Soldier Field are harder for a QB then say Denver, Cutler has the arm to deal with it. Finally, their receivers really aren't as poor as advertised. Greg Olsen is definitely a weapon who has the ability to be a top 3-4 tight end in the NFL, and Hester is a great playmaker who more or less was learning the position on the fly last year and still finished with over 50 catches. These are players who can all make big jumps under a QB capable of throwing for 4,500 plus yards in a season. If they do add Burress or Marshall like some people think they might do, this offense could potentially carry the team for a change
