This is a topic that came up today after watching the Bears game on Turkey Day. The majority answer I got was bears 70-0. I figure it would be 27-7. What do ya'll think?

Auburn 35-7....Chicago can't even wipe their butts with any success on offense right now.

I don't know what the line would be... Probably in the 40's...

Chicago 48-0.

This arguement has been had before... NO College team can hold a candle to any team in the NFL no matter how bad they look against other NFL competition.

To even argue that a college team could play in the NFL you'd have to be absolutely OUT OF YOUR MIND.

Auburn would only score if Chicago turned the ball over in their own territory. Even then... They'd probably not.

We go through this time and time again with these " college vs NFL" scenarios.

NO COLLEGE TEAM COULD STAY ON THE SAME FIELD WITH ANY NFL TEAM.

The line would be -40 or more on everyone of these match-ups.

It wouldnt matter if this years USC team played the winless BUCS of the 70's................the BUCS would be -40 or more.

ps- AND MOST OF THE BUCS PLAYERS WOULD BE OVER 55 YEARS OLD NOW!! :banger:

So true............I go through this at work sometimes with some guys that don't have a clue about sports. It's not very hard to figure this out. What's the average/Percentage of college players per team that may even get through a training camp in the NFL?!............

Hache,
I agree, but I think a few of the Miami teams might have played within a few TDs of Arizona (at their low point). Half of the Miami starters are 1st rounders anyway... lol.

No contest. Auburn players would need an ambulance service fully staffed.

agree with Fish - the game wouldn't be close

you could have USC play the 49ers and the 49ers would WIPE THE FIELD with usc. my guess is 49ers win maybe 42-7 with the 49ers calling off the dogs early in this one.

I just read Jimmy Johnson's book that he wrote after winning the first Super Bowl with the Cowboys. I'm not sure how serious he was when he wrote it but he said his great Miami teams could have beaten the lousy Cowboys team that he inherited.

NFL Champs/College All Star Game

I don't think the Bears would beat any great college team 70-0. That's absurd. Below are the scores of the NFL College All Star Game back when it was played. Many were competitive and all stars even won on occasion:

Kabbage: keep in mind those games were played AFTER the season (read: super bowl) was over (i believe) when the NFL team was basically going thru the motions trying not to get hurt and just get the game over. if they played and the NFL team actually cared - THEN they'd kill the CFB team - and beat them BAD!
