Pretty sure I know where MOST of the posters stand here.

RenoChazz, CP, Loomis and I are for the good guys.

Everyone else seems to be pulling for TB.

What are thoughts on game 1? Since we will probably not convince each other on side, what about total? I might ride the over all series long.

As far as props tonight, so far I have only played two, but am looking at a few others. The Keith one seems to have tons of value to me.

to score first seems nearly impossible.
There's so many guys that can score.
Hopefully Callahan's healthier and can bang infront of the net, so as a long shot I'd take him, but its too much of a crap shoot to put money on that

PS Bolts are the good guys -- Hawks evil empire

Yeah you're probably right. I saw 25/1 and started salivating. Watch it hit now though. Didn't wanna brag about how it hit without posting it.

thinking over if Hawks give the Bolts the chances the Ducks had they will put them in the net how many times did it seem like the Ducks should have been up 2-0

Harry you live down here or just making the trip?

Contemplating making the trip. I went down for a game a couple months ago, enjoyed myself.

I live in Birmingham, it's a pretty cheap direct flight on SW.

I think Game 2 would be much better if Chicago wins Game 1, then Tampa has their backs to the wall. I am speaking purely from a fan of the sport with consideration for game 2 being a key to the entire series if that happens.

Enjoy either way guys as I am sure the finals is a blast. :toast:

Just curious, how popular is hockey in Tampa?

Seems like when the Rays were contending a few years ago that pretty much no one cared. Atleast compared to other cities.

Huge

No comparison to the Rays.

Lightning has been THE ticket in town for many years now.

Remember the Rays are actually in St Pete where most consider a very bad location.

They will be gone soon because the losers on St Pete council refuse to budge on letting them out...

Record NBCSN audience in Tampa area watches Bolts’ Game 7 win

The Tampa Bay Lightning didn’t just make NHL history during their Game 7 Eastern Conference finals victory over the New York Rangers on Friday night. They also made television history.

The Lightning became the first team to beat the Rangers in a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden, and a record number of Tampa-area and New York television viewers watched.

The Tampa market scored an 11.9 rating among households equipped with TVs, which is the highest ever for a Lightning game on any of NBC’s networks, which include NBC, NBC Sports Network, CNBC and USA, according to the Nielsen Co.

The New York market, meanwhile, produced a 10.3 rating, the highest for a Rangers game on NBCSN, including Games 3-4 of last year’s Stanley Cup Finals.

In addition, the game produced a 2.65 metered market overnight rating, making it the second-highest rated game ever on NBCSN, excluding Stanley Cup Final games.

Only last year’s Western Conference Game 7 overtime final between the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks (3.17) delivered a higher non-finals rating on NBCSN.

The 2.65 rating represented a 53 percent increase over the rating for the last Eastern finals Game 7, which featured the Lightning and Boston Bruins (1.73) in 2011.

The rating also ranks among the top five NHL telecasts ever on NBCSN.

The overnight household rating, a percentage of homes watching, includes live and same-day DVR viewership from the top 56 markets.

Like 15 people watched this world series so it wasn't something people noticed but Rays/Phillies in '08 had such a bizarre feel to it.

Did not feel like the world championship was on the line at all.
