Thanks Indy. Here's a brief summary of the games and why I like them. These games have a good chance at being close, so I'm not screwing around with point spreads, except for a 10 point teaser where I can get those lines to a place I am comfortable with.
I like the Saints. LA Rams have issues in secondary. Mainly, I don't think Talib can cover Micheal Thomas, and I think if the Cowboys Dak Prescott can burn Marcus Peters, Drew Brees will shred him more than once. Rankins being out will allow the Rams to run well, but I think they are going to have to be putting points up in the air with Goff to beat New Orleans at the end of the day. Also, the 2 headed monster of Kamara and Ingram, combined with fact Brees can keep Rams on back feet in secondary and expose questionable run defense is just too much. It will be close. I think Saints get a few more big plays and that’s the difference.
Close game - Saints win. Bet the ML.
In late game, I think being on the road hurts the Patriots more than people think. While Pats secondary can cover people, the Chiefs just have too much. If they blanket the WR's, they'll dump off to Williams out of the backfield and use Kelce underneath even more. And the Patriots, IMO, are a slower defense underneath. There's just too much for that New England defense to worry about. When they come in to cover the screens KC will no doubt employ, Mahomes will go deep. Patriots will score some points for sure, but not enough at the end of the day. Last week I think being on road finally caught up to Chargers. And LAC's secondary played 15 yards off receivers way too often and Brady chewed that up. I don't think KC will give them as much as the Chargers did. And Gronkowski is not healthy. That’s a big issue. Gronk had 1 target and catch last week. With LAC playing a weak pass defense. That’s not gonna cut it vs KC. He’s hurting more than they are letting on. I think it’s his last game - unless NE wins. Then Super Bowl will be his last game.
Overall KC just has too many weapons.
