Cheney is slamming Edwards and Kerrys records. Finally some talk of Kerrys poor record, they missed 70% of the meetiings, ya that's who we need for president and vice president. What clowns Kerry and Edwards are, they talk big and have done nothing as Senators. They don't even show up for Senate meetings. Cheney did a great job making that clear. That was classic when Cheney said Edwards is known as Senator Gone in his home state.

Edwards the man for the little guy loop holes out of paying 600K in medicare taxes, that money could have helped the needy. You see if it's our money it's OK to take from us. Edwards believes he should keep all his millions, fraud.

I would say that Bush/Cheney are finding ways to keep their millions in tax cuts.

Cheney stated that Kerry voted 90 times for tax increases

Edwards responded that Kerry voted for tax cuts 600+ times.
It left Cheney speechless.

Cheney has not answered back 2 or 3 times now because he cant argue his points.

Line,

I don't deny they probably all pay as little taxes as possible. The difference is Kerry and Edwards play the class envy card ie tax breaks for the rich, when they known the people that pay taxes get tax breaks. Then Edwards is using loop holes to get out of funding the very program that helps the little guy, medicare. What a FRAUD.

**** that would have left anyone speechless to hear such a bold face lie on TV. I guess Cheney could have said liar. The most liberal Senator in the US voted 600+ times against rasing taxes.

Why don't you believe that Kerry voted 600 times to lower taxes???

Edwards stated it after Cheney said he voted 90 times to increase it.

Cheney didn't challenge it at all, if it were false I would think that Cheney would have jumped all over it.

Don't tell me you only believe what Cheney says and not what Edwards said.

Cheney has pointed out things that he didn't think were accurate and with the taxes being such a hot topic, he would have definetly said something about it.

If it wasn't true and Cheney didn't even try to challenge it then he is dumber than I expected.

Line,

I missed Edwards saying that, I started feeling sorry for him. Are you sure Edwards said Kerry voted for 600+ tax cuts? I'm speechless if Edwards was dumb enough to say something that stupid. Are you sure it wasn't 6 or 60 times?

I was pretty sure that is what I heard, if that is wrong I am very sorry.

I thought that was said, but I don't know how to see if that is what was said.

Line,

Trust me on this one. No way in hell Kerry voted for tax cuts 600+ times. Maybe Cheney took it easy on the kid since he smashed him in this debate. Cheney probably figured most would figure what a silly statement that was. Think about it Kerry voting for tax cuts 600+ times... How many times do you think in history the Senates ever voted on tax cuts?

That's my assessment, I'm very accurate. Look for a swing towards Bush in the next Gallup poll.

NBC just pointed out some inaccuracies in the debate and never said anything about the point that Kerry voted that many times for tax cuts.

If that figure were wrong I would believe NBC to have pointed that out.

You may be right, it could swing towards Bush in the next poll,

BUT

that is just until Bush speaks again Friday night,

BUSH is a terrible debater and it is sad that a lot of voters may look at that more than issues.

Bush will try pull out of the next debate because he has a verruca that needs urgent attention.
Otherwise Kerry will :hammerit him, and by the time of the final debate Bush will be a wreck.

....I wonder if there will be a gallon pitcher of water for Bush in the next showdown....

....and will he ask to be excused to go pee after 60 minutes....:biglaugh:

Having a former boss as US vice-president is turning out to be more trouble than it is worth for Dick Cheney's old company,

The company's shares have fallen from $50 (£28) when Mr Cheney first took office in the White House to the low $30s.

Halliburton's business with the federal government has grown considerably since the current administration took office. According to the New York Times, the business went from being the 22nd biggest military contractor in 2000 to the seventh largest in 2003. Prior to the invasion of Iraq, without being asked to tender, Halliburton was handed a contract worth up to $7bn to repair the nation's oilfields. It was also given a contract to provide logistical support to US troops, handling everything from food to transport and laundry services. That deal, awarded under an existing long-term contract to provide emergency services, was worth a potential $13bn.

When the first secretive contract came to light, shortly after the March 2003 invasion, Democrats rounded on the company, arguing that it was evidence of an old boy network in the White House. Mr Cheney, who walked away from Halliburton with a $36m package, continued to receive deferred income from the firm

bush looked like a clown in his debate.

cheney made edwards look like he was lost. when he brought up the 600k tax loop hole edwards took, i dont even think bush had that much of a alfred e neuman look on his face.

whether you like or dislike bush, it is hard to say edwards won or even tied in this debate.
