hotwire.com is sorta like priceline in that youget cheaper airfares - and they don't say when you are flying until you buy the ticket. the part that makes hotwire better than priceline is that they tell you before you buy how much the ticket will be.
as well as each airline's site. you can usually get a better deal on-line than calling in. also keep in mind southwest airlines is NOT listed on any travel sites so if you can fly them you need to go to their site.
yeah.....I still think thought overall SW is the lowest priced airline. I think because they do not allow themselves to get to big where they can not handle the growth. glad to see you coming frank
Tout all the site you want. The hands down best site is www.sidestep.com You have to dl the software but it works wonders. Trust me on this one folks. It searches all the searches and even includes carriers like southwest who typically dont participate on third party searches. GL. see you there.
Sometimes it's not ENTIRELY a question of HOW cheap, but how convient.
In the tidewater area of Virgina, how many times do you have to change planes and what can you take that you would not be stripped searched at the airport. No--911 and it's aftermath killed any thoughts I might have had of flying to Nevada. If I ever go-It will be to stay!
It all depends which airport you want to fly out of or are near. I found that while the cheapest flights on sites like travelocity or expedia saved you money...you have to fly to 3 different cities before you got to Vegas and it was like 15 hrs. after you took off. I agree with going with Southwest. I got non-stop round trips at the exact times I wanted from the airport I wanted, plus two nights at the Nugget all for $484. I will be in Vegas around !10:30am (PST) on Friday
and don't have to fly out on Sunday until 3:35pm. Would have liked to found cheaper, but roundtrip tickets from the airport I am flying out of were all around the same price with no hotel! Looks like SW gives you a better rate on air if you go with a hotel included. The Vegas hotels and airlines don't like empty seats/rooms so it makes since that they make deals together.
Good price but is it 1 or 2 stops each way?
Still a good price. I got air plus hotel for 241.00 per person, on Swa. I guess i am going. Hope to see you out there.
By the way is anybody getting together to watch a game or have a few drinks on fri. nite?
Anybody on east coast should consider flying AirTran to LV. New airline, cheap prices, excellent service. I flew them twice to Miami. For the NY crowd, they only fly out of LaGuardia.
