Here is a thought about human behaviour

If you were watching a TV detective show about a BlackWidow and recently deceased husband and the Detective noticed something like this and that got him to supsect the wife was part of the scheme, people would be like "Oh that is so smart"

But when it happens in "real life" and is pointed out to the same people they are like "so what, nothing to see here."
