The problem i have is when he justifies losing $10 million (a very large chunk of his family's net worth) by saying he can afford it rather than owning up to how morally irresponsible it was to his family. If he had no wife and child, then by all means it is his money to lose or spend as he wishes.
"Daddy won't be home for a few weeks, he's busy making money for the family". Oh that's nice, will it go into a machine or on the blackjack table this time?
People losing $1,000 on sites like these probably effects their families more than him losing 10 million. Not sure who made you the moral police either.
i am not the moral police, nor claim to be, and neither is barkley. this thread is about a comment barkley made regarding another person's family matters. someone who pissed away roughly 1/2 of his family's net worth probably isn't the best person to be commenting on other people's family matters - sir charles would probably agree with me, that's why he kept it short.
if $1000 is 1/2 of someone's net worth then they really shouldn't be gambling, that's pretty pathetic
he kept it short because the guy asking the questions, asked for a 1 word answer. you can read into whatever you want.
i'd agree with him... tiger woods is a sad individual in my book... nice example he was setting, especially for someone so dedicated to kids.
Might not have won a championship, but his resume is pretty impressive, nonetheless. Barkley was a GREAT basketball player:I really do not get the attraction people have to Barkley either. When he talked he always wanted to compare himself to the greats of his time, Jordan, etc etc, but he never won squat.
If I had a choice to have a beer with either of the two it definetly would be Barkley. He didn't win just like Stockton, Malone, Payton, Ewing and miller. They couldn't get passed mj. Barkley was a monster down low, playing the 4 at 6'4". Could run the floor and shoot the 3 as well. Seems like a real genuine guy. I still can't stop laughing about that Vaseline in the naval.

Milwaukee Mike sounds butt hurt about Barkley for some reason
I like barkley as a commentator, just wonder why some people here have their nose so far up his ass lol. I am a cpa, and have a few clients where one spouse pisses all their time and money away at casinos, so it's kind of a sore spot. Wynn having to take him to court just to get paid rubbed me the wrong way too, you don't have to be a degenerate AND a stiff lol.
Not sure where the $200 million comes from, his career nba earnings were $40 million.
Congrats on being a cpa. I am one test away myself. Too busy now so im taking it in may
nice, you guys have it a little easier with regards to the test. it used to be all 4 parts at the same time (2-days), and if you passed only 1 you had to take all 4 again. if you passed 2 or 3, then you could just retake the sections you failed, but you had to wait 6 months because the tests were only done twice a year.
now apparently you can just focus on one at a time, right? my advice is to start your own firm, or try to get in with someone that is retiring within a few years. at $160/hour i only have to work 600 hours a year (12 hrs/week) to make around $100k. if you work for a bigger firm you will probably work about 3000 hours a year and make far less.
