Do the oddmakers realize that denver could easily go 2-3 or even 1-4 in their final 5, and the only tough game san diego has left is at tampa bay, and they get denver at the end of the season(chargers will get the tie breaker). There is a very good chance still that they make the playoffs and have a home playoff game. Now I know the chargers get outcoached every game, and if you have watched all their games they get absolutely screwed by the refs, they are by no means a great team, but if they get in the playoffs they can beat anyone, simply because it is a washed down league. 40:1 is a huge number for a team that is nowhere near being out of playoff contention. They are in every game, and if they get a couple of breaks here and there they can be dangerous. not saying they will win the superbowl, but there is great value at 40:1.

Totally agree. Chargers should've beat 2 best teams in AFC (Steelers, Colts). Chargers annhilated Jets and NE. Chargers have beaten Titans many times in a row and won't be intimidated by them. If they find a way to get in, they will be a tough out and very dangerous. The pressure will be off and they might actually stop choking games away. I have no doubt Chargers beat Denver in the finale if that game means something. So SD has to gain 1 game in the next 4 (could happen this Sunday if Jets handle Denv).

Atlanta this weekend could possibly qualify as "a tough game"
dont you think? :think2:

The Bronocos schedule doesnt look welcoming, as a Bronc fan I'd be very happy with 3-2 in last 5!

Plus the chargers have played a brutal schedule, in fact their 7 losses are all to teams with winning records a combiined(47-30) are those teams. Oakland and kc are the only two losing teams they have played and will play all year. as bad as they have been they should have been 5-6 if it wasnt for the refs, and anyone who watched the colts game admits they got shafted by the refs. The obvious pick play gave the colts 7 points, the awful 3rd and 7 PI call in the 4th gave the colts 3, and lets not forget, jammer got picked by the ref, that is why manning colmpleted the pass to harrison, granted we should have gone for it on 4th down. either way, gambling is a game of value, when you talk about 40 to 1 dogs, you are looking at teams that supposedly have no chance. for example, the 76ers are 40 to 1 to win the NBA championship, now you are crazy if you think the chargers don't have a better chance than the 76ers.

You left out the biggest screw job of the entire game. Anthony Gonzalez had possession of that ball over the middle and fumbled. Cro picked it up in full stride and would've walked into the endzone.

Considering the Chargers have to climb to the top of the division then go through some combination of Jets, Patriots, Colts, Titans, Steelers, and Ravens. Then on top of that assuming your not going to hedge they need to go through the Giants. I'd book that bet at 100-1. If you do plan to hedge if they make the Superbowl your only looking at 20-1 anyway. Save your money and take Colts to win SB if you want a long shot with a better shot due to the experience + getting hot at the right time.

unfortunately...

the true norv turner has returned.

last year he let the players do their thing...this season he has stripped the life from 'em...with his horseshit playcalling and erratic coaching...

turner's inability to manage the games correctly (w/regards the clock)...and playcall effectively will keep the bolts from doing anything.

the window for this group has closed.

too bad they blew the whistle.

the referees were not the reason for the loss vs indy...

that loss was on turner.

he blew it by calling the timeout w/1:35 left in the 4th quarter...and with his playcalling overall.

imo its a great bet. as a denver fan ill be the first to say theyre better than the broncos and theyll likely win the division at something like 8-8 or 7-9. once youre in it doesnt matter youre record for the season. they have a better team than the jets and titans in my opinion, and can play with the colts, pats and steelers. i would say one of the four consistent power teams reps the AFC and the feel good stories in tenn and nyj will be lucky to win one playoff game.

good bet for value. dont think they win, but they would more than 1 out of 40 times.

it would be a waste to

bet on the charges to win the super bowl. mainly because they get hosed by the refs every fucking game. the refs must bet against them or something.

my book has chargers at 60-1 which is 200 bucks to win 12000 grand baby its gotta be worth a shot they have a great shot at making the playoff with the broncos pissing there season away. what about make that bet then when they make the playoffs just bet the moneyline agianst the chargers in every game till the superbowl then hedge out
first round bet 300 agianst them
2nd round bet 600 agianst them
3rd round bet 1200 agianst them
then the superbowl bet 4000 grand agianst them
either way it would be a Bonus Bet

seems like either way i would end up ahead basically betting 200 dollars on the chargers to make the playoffs if they don't make the playoff then I would lose but wouldn't be the first time a genius plan like this takes a shit on me.

very interesting angle buddy. but the bet doesn't seem very logical. the chargers are just not the same this year. very inconsistent. but good luck if you do bet this.
