Rumors that Change-A-Bet was in trouble appears to be true. Money investors for this company have pulled out, leaving the company insolvent. Word has it that Millennium Sports, one of the most solid sportsbooks offshore, will assume the balances of the clientele of this sportsbook on Friday December 3. The management will honor all balances transferred to Millennium accounts, requesting a 5X turnover and balance to remain in account, without right of withdraw, for a minimum period of 30 days.

I notice no more books are falling but buyouts are taking place or takeovers which is excellent for players

Wow. I'm slightly surprised considering I don't remember Millenium offering a bailout before, but happy for those affected.

If Millennium decides to bail out this scam book, something about Change a Bet hasn't come forward. Why in the world would they ever do such a thing? The gain for Millennium is absolutely zero.

Why do you think so, Slash?
What would Millennium gain by taking over the balances of 10 or so sharp players with a total of $100k+ in balances?

Absolutely nothing - only that people will probably stop digging anymore into this... Anyway, if Millennium takes over the balances, fine with me. My theories are probably dead wrong anyway ;)

Meaning then, & i'm not arguing: not that many customers & an inordinately high % of them sharpies....

I think, for the good of the industry, that a bunch of books should get together & voluntarily form an association that guarantees individual customers that one/any of them will pick up / continue their account should a co-member go under...following the example in the late 90's with that Greenwich failed hedge fund.

There was no investors to pull out because there was none. This Change-A-Scam was crooked from the get go. According to the guy that is owed 65k by them he is not part of the deal. That leaves less than 20k owed to squares so Millennium will take over that amount requiring 5x rollover and no WD allowed until that is completed.

That's a mighty good bail-out if true ! No match and only 5X ! I didn't like that change-a-bet concept , from the start.
