Edmonton 6-3 SU and 7-2 ATS in last 9 as a home dog. One of two ATS losses came in overtime. Big revenge game for them. They were down by only 2 in the 4th quarter against Montreal three weeks ago before collapsing and losing by 34. But a major improvement in their rushing offense is noticed since then. In last two games Whitlock rushed for 102 yards on 19 carries (1 TD) and McCarty rushed for 108 yards on 14 carries (3 TD). Their special units got a TD and their kicking game was good last week. Now they need their best player and QB to get back on track and if they can do that they will have a chance to win outright this week. Montreal struggled against Hamilton last week as they played good football for about 5 minutes in the 2nd quarter when they scored 2 quick TD's. They were scoreless and outscored by 5 in the 1st and 4th quarter and they also struggled in the third when they only scored a FG. They lost 3 of last 4 in Edmonton by double digits. My play here is Edmonton +7 but I will also play the +240 moneyline for a few hundreds.
I don't think the Eskies got as close as 2. I think they got to within 10 in the fourth quarter, then Montreal blew it open. Edmonton got the last score in garbage time, when it was 50-9. Montreal also did all that damage without one of the CFL's best WRs in Jamel Richardson.

If Edmonton is to succeed ATS, my guess is that it is more probable to occur in the second half of game. Montreal often plays well early but Edmonton is the opposite. Against Saskatchewan in previous week, Edmonton was behind 21 points before starting a big comeback. You are right that history favors Edmonton but there are concerns. Key mismatch in Montreal strong offense versus Edmonton weak defense. In turnover takeaways-giveaways, Montreal best +8 versus Edmonton worst -10.
