Edmonton and BC deserve full marks for their wins last week and they are both getting alot love this week as underdogs. I really believe that both of their seasons end tomorrow.
Edmonton nutted up big last week in Winnipeg, but Montreal is just a far better team. Edmontons offence is inconsistent, while Ricky Ray is a CFL stud, he doesn't have alot of help. His o-line doesnt protect him, and they have a hard time opening holes for the running game against good defences. Not that Ray needs alot of time to play his style, but even if he plays a perfect game and EDM scores 35, Their defence will give up 40. This defence likes to give up the big plays, and this game will be on a fast track indoors. I think AC is also a genius of a QB and he has a much easier task of playing the soft EDM secondary. And he will have all the time in the world to find open receivers.
It does bother me a little that Montreal hasnt played a meaningful game in a month, this will be the test for coach Trestman who is widely being regarded for coach of the year this year and will seal the deal tomorrow if the Als really give it to the Eskies. I know this much, if I had a choice between Marc Trestman and Rick Moranis...er.. Danny Maciocia, to coach my team, I would much rather have the Trestman in a heartbeat.
In the West... Ok lets face it. We all know that I cant cap this game objectively. I honestly feel that Calgary will blow BC out of McMahon. The Stamps have been very dominant since Labour Day with a record of 8 - 1 and 5 - 0 at home. The avg margin in those 5 games is 22 points. Everybody at TSN wants to make love to the BC front 4, and they deserve alot of credit for what they do, but what is not being mentioned is that they will face, what I believe to be, the CFL`s best O-line right now. BC will need more of a great team effort if they are even going to hang around in this one.
Here is one tidbit in BC`s favour... I heard on the radio today that Calgary DB Lenny Walls will not be playing tomorrow, he hurt himself in practice. Lenny Walls is part of the reason that Calgary`s defence has really come together in the latter part of the year. He took over the cornerback spot after Calvin Bannister lost his job due to injury (and because he sucks). So the Stamps have brought back J.R. Ruffin, who hasnt played football since his season ending knee surgery 14 months ago. I have no idea what kind of shape he`s in, but BC will no doubt attack him.

I will post what this pays when I make the bet. It would appear as though either Pinnacle, or my computer isn`t working properly.
