He is said to be resting comfortably in a hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery. However, he may miss the C's opening game against the Bulls on Saturday. Things aren't looking great for the Celtics right now, as this news comes on the same day Kevin Garnett (knee) was essentially ruled out for the playoffs by Doc Rivers. Coincidence? Maybe.

My mom drank one beer every night of her life as long as I can remember. Never drank more than a beer a day, and never consumed any other type of alcohol. But that one beer a night was as if she was taking a daily vitamin. Lived to be 84, and never had a single health issue til a year prior to her death.

Now, I'm not suggesting that one beer a night habit had anything to do with her longevity, but it didn't hurt.

Back to the subject..... I always seemed to be rooting against the Celtics back in Ainge's days, and he frustrated the hell out of me. Just always seemed to make the plays when he needed to most. He was just always in the midst of the action....Had he not been wearing a Celtics uniform, he probably would have ranked as one of my all-time favorites@)

Ainge was one fireball of a player. Kinda like a Pete Rose of the NBA if you will. Always never afraid to take a charge from a much larger player and always hustling after every lose ball. He probably gave 115% every time he set foot on the court. Hoping Mr. Ainge will make a full and speedy recovery.

I saw him 7 or 8 times(with Kevin McHale) at intermission during the 2007 Big 12 Basketball Tournament. Every time, he was feeding his face.

Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday night, the team announced.
According to a release from the team, Ainge received immediate medical attention, is expected to make a full recovery and will return to Boston shortly.
Ainge was in Milwaukee to watch the Celtics' Game 2 loss to the Bucks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Ainge, 60, also suffered what was described as minor heart attack in 2009.
Ainge was a member of two championship Celtics teams in the 1980s. He became the team's president of basketball operations in 2003.
