I sometimes pick up my gf from work, every woman there (except my gf) is chatting on their phone as they are walking out the door.

Its a real sick thing, I mean a few years back, we all got along quite fine with out the cellies, we are wasteing alot of money and time with the cells, but on the other side, the cell phone has assisted so many in dire situations over the years, yes, they have saved many a life.

the interesting thing to me is...everyone (including me) hates the cell phone morons as described above yet, can't live without them now.

i remember about 6 years ago or so when everyone started using the cell phone as opposed to the car phone (remember those big bastards mounted in the car?)...i never, never talked on the thing in public. if someone else did, it annoyed the hell out of me. now, i dont even notice it at the mall, in dunkin donuts, even in public bathrooms. and i myself have been guilty of the same. it still bugs me when someone else does it but, if my cell phone rings and i'm in line at jewel, i answer it.

Cellphones are handy to have when you're out and about. But, when I see someone walking down the street gabbing on one, and they have no automobile, it kinda makes me chuckle.

people rely on them way too much. instead of saying "meet me at gate 2 in front of the ballpark at 1:00" they say "when you get to clark and addison, call my cell phone".

i agree. Some people like to give off the perception that they so important by constantly being on a cell. It's a joke. Ever notice people who drive Mercedes or BMW's are always on the phone? It must be a requirement if you drive one of these cars. They want people to believe they are people of power and importance. If I'm coming across as bitter about the subject, That's b/c I am. I hate it too.

Nothing like giving some one who doesn't belong behind the wheel of a car in the first place another thing to distract their gnat-like attention spans from the operation of a ton+ fast-moving projectile of death.

i think that used to be true but now, i see the 16 year old kid with no job talking on a cell phone out in front of the video store. he is calling his friends to see if they can scrape up $4 to rent a skateboarding game for playstation 2.

I hate when people try to whisper during a movie on their phone. At least two people did not turn off their phones and actually had conversations in the theatre.

How many car accidents are caused by idiots talking on their cell phones? Wasn't there an article about a woman driving off of a bridge because she was talking on the phone????????

When you get a chance to hear their conversation, it really isn't too important. But, they make it a point for everyone to hear it.
