That's a bummer but that happens all the time with teams that are down. Is say i'd 60/40 in terms of a player trying to get a last second meaningless point when they are down. But usually they Chuck up a 3. If it's a team that's up, that would be suspicious.

I mean I understand it sucks, but that happens all the time. Most players are taught not to give up until there are 0's on the clock. Just a meaningless basket by a guy who wants more points.

I hear ya man, I just think that shit is part of the game. Look at the lakers, down 19 with 10 seconds to go. They take a 3, hit the boards for an offensive rebound, kick it out and take another meaningless 3 with 1 sec left. It's just how the game goes.

There should be a Therapy sticky .... wherein we rant and vent about some of the things that occur on the way to a losing wager.

I had Cleveland -10.

Happens all the time. The team leading doesn't give a shit if they make a meaningless basket. The losing team gets to pad the stats. Nothing shady, just life in the NBA. There will be times you get the good side of these too.

I had Cavs-10. (This was part of a parlay that would've won 7.5k)
I had Clippers/pistons U203.5.
I had Warriors-6.5 against Pelicans.
I had Colts-7.5 against Texans.

Yeah, I feel your pain.

I had Cavs -9.5 and Hornets +11.5. Of course I considered buying Cavs down to 9 and said "nah".

+1, if it was the team that's up, that would be different. But leading team usually doesn't play defense anymore, don't want to foul and stop the clock, extend the game. Other team tries to play until the final buzzer, guys pad their stats and you can't really blame them, they might actually have some incentives in their contract, so a couple of scores in garbage time over the course of a season might equal additional money for them. Just need to look to Phil Hughes of the twins in last year's MLB season, those incentives might just come down to a handful of plays.
Or if it's some bench players on the court, they probably don't want to be called out for not playing to the final buzzer and giving it a 100% effort, when they finally get some playing time
