As a Cavs fan I love it. The Cavs got Mo Williams in a deal that sent Joe Smith to Oklahoma City and Damon Jones to the Bucks. The Bucks will also get Luke Ridnour and Adrian Griffan from Oklahoma. Oklahoma City will also recieve Desmond Mason in the deal.

Finally a guy that can create his own shot off the dribble so Lebron doesn't have to do it all by himself. If they are able to re-sign West they'll be able to move him over to the 2 position where he may feel more comfortable since he was never a true PG. We may have finally seen a move that makes Cleveland good enough to win it all.

wow. if true (taking you at your word that its a done deal) then its a damn good trade for cleveland. the east is getting a lot better so the cavs needed to keep pace. very good move. theyve tried to get williams before. finally landed him.

ESPN.com has the story up. In a couple places it says the Cavs are "close" to landing a deal and others say it is a done deal.

Mo played point last year with the Bucks. With James you don't need a pure PG, just someone that can handle the ball, create off the dribble and come up with some decent passes. West (if re-signed) would probaly move over to the 2 position and then you'd have Wally coming off the bench playing the 2 or 3, hell he could play the 4 in a small lineup. Gibson will never play point because he has no handles. He is a catch and shoot player, a great one, but that's all he is.

Don't discount a healthy Sasha Pavlovic. He really came into his own in the playoffs 2 years ago but was essentially injured or playing with an injury all last year. He's still only 24 and I see him starting at the 2 with or without West. Bench of Gibson/Wally/Varejao/rookie Hickson/West. I think they look good.
