Not very cultured in Dos attacks or at all but I was just wondering. Is there any way of determining where the attacks are being originated and then blowing those computers away with DoS attacks? Is there any trace that can be followed?

Slim, there was a recent article in one of those (I believe) CTN rags that mentioned the probably source is the Russian mafia. As far as the technical aspects of counterattacking, I haven't a clue.

Very difficult to trace, what these people do is take over cable modems world wide and use them to initiate their attacks .

This is awful. Imagine owning a brick and mortar store and having a bunch of people blocking access to the front door. Just think about that for second. This also couldnt have happened to a better shop on NFC/AFC championship day, nonetheless. GL Cascade, hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

First let me say I am a player and my job is to beat the sportbooks not side with them.
But I have to aplaud cascade here on their stance.
The reason that these attacks keep going is because of the stupid books who caved in and paid.
As soon as another group of criminals finds out a sportsbook paid they will probably keep coming back.
To all sportsbooks, DO NOT PAY ANY MORE MONEY!
These criminals will keep coming back, their word is worth nothing.
I think we as players should support sites who do not pay the ransom.
