dont blame Cascade at all for pulling ads from sports forums......

imo.....this could start a trend with books pulling out of forums...

1. seems like the negatives outweigh the positives....someone always seems to be starting negative rumours about books going under.....

no book is immune either......Cris, holly, pinny, ect all get slammed every now and then........

books dont need the forums.........forums need the books though.......

Off the top, I can only say that The Rx.com is looking to "censor" unsubstantiated rumors of books(advertisers or not) until confirmed a problem. We cannot police other sites, but we can police it here.

Good post

Tell it like, you are right in that it may be too late for a few of the books here that have been hurt. I think the General is right that it is never too late to try, because if the mods don't do a better job, your predicitons will come to fruition.

past is past.

I cannot fix that. And, I alone, cannot fix it now, but given the proper authority, approval, team, and support, with guidelines agreed, then we can try very hard to make the future better.

General.......look at it this way....

the forums represent only a handful of the total number of gamblers.....

why would a book want to advertise on any sports forum???

not to beef up the accounts.....

only thing i can think of..is maybe to assume some legitimacy.......(maybe..lol)

I bet after football the price of advertising on these fourms will go way down.I've always enjoyed reading the different fourms but recently I guess you can't blame the books for being a little scared. A book can lose a lot of money by some idiot making false statements.I don't know what the answer is toall of this.

Nothing can stop this forum from making money except posters leaving and if a Casino owner stiffing players and buying this place doesn't do it then nothing will. As much as I don't like "gossip" its always been on the forums to some extent and its not the only reason advertisers have left. MW gets advertisers after saying he wants to wipe his ass with the very same book.

Dime, I can only speculate, but I think it's an advantage in the competetive market. Certainly one of the best ways to get your name out there.

Cascade is gone - I know they are a good book that pays - but if they don't advertise anywhere it makes me reluctant to play there because there is no one help if there is a problem.

the fact that some yay-hoo comes in yelling "fire" when there isnt a problem wouldnt be a reason for a book not to advertise, imo....

just cuz you dont advertise at a forum, doesnt mean that someone won't say it....

I agree with the previous poster, i would be leary of a book with "no" forum presence at all, cuz i there is no one there to help with a problem......

I'm leaving the RX and have no axe to grind but I think the books who are leaving the forums may be overreacting. I don't have one penny invested but you're being shortsighted if you don't think there is any advantage to having a presence out on these forums. The smarter plan would be to sit down and work through all this with the site owners like gentlemen. Together come up with some guidelines so everyone can work together out there, what's missing is some firm policies on what they can expect and what not to expect. It's too big a place to run this off what Ken and XXXX talk about, half time time the mods never hear about what was said anyway (sorry Ken

). Mods, owners, and the books should all be perfectly clear on what is to be expected with the books who advertise here.

I respect the hell out of Lenny but think there might have been a better way to do it. Lot of players will prefer a place who advertises as they know the forum had a relationship with the book, that can't be denied. And like someone else said just because your banner isn't up top does not mean the run on the banks will end, on some forums we all know they will get worse. I can see some irritation but leaving is no good for anyone, this too can be worked out for the good of everyone.

I agree, the fact that you advertise here makes no difference in whether you will be hit by false rumors. Advertising, as I said recently, is all about eyeballs and target audience. Nothing more or less. It is good to advertise here because more people come here than anywhere else and that means more eyes on you and more credibility if you are trying to attract players that are newer to offshore betting. If you advertise somewhere else, say buses in NYC, how many people looking at those ads have any interest in playing offshore? If you get someone here you can say that close to 100% are bettors and if given the right mix of credibility, bonuses, and good numbers, you have a good shot at some of their business. That is why you advertise here, not to give yourself shelter from the falsehoods that can be spread here.
