BEANTOWNJIM,

This is the way they should have done it. Just to give you an example of a real classy book:

Notice

The kick-off time of the following Swedish Allsvenskan matches was advanced an hour earlier than its scheduled time 22:00 on 26 October 2003:
Enkopings SK FK-AIK Solna
Helsingborgs IF-Orgryte IS
IFK Goteborg-Landskrona BoIS
GIF Sundsvall-Halmstads BK
IF Elfsborg-Hammarby
Orebro SK FK-Malmo FF

For technical reasons, our acceptance of all bets relating to the above matches was only ceased as from 21:21 on 26 October 2003.
According to our Football Betting Rules, all bets placed after kick-off, i.e. 21:00 for the above matches, are deemed void. However, we have decided to grant a privilege and to treat this as an exception. We should stress this is not intended to and will not bind us as a precedent in the exercise of our rights and absolute discretion should the same or similar incident happen in the future.
We hereby confirm that we shall treat:-
1. All Win Bets (multiple included) placed during the period from 21:00 – 21:21 (“Period”) as valid and payout will be made in accordance with the odds at the time the bet was placed;
2. Save and except for Lose Bets placed during the Period on multiple, which shall be considered successful but with odds counted as “1”, all Lose Bets placed during the Period will be refunded.
The revised payout will be automatically transferred to our internet customers’ accounts on 18 November 2003. Registration for Cash-Betting Tickets payout or refund will be processed from 20:00 on 18 November 2003 to 20:00 on 2 December 2003 at all our operation outlets. Any registration beyond the stipulated time will not be entertained.

When the place of advertisment has a bullseye on it the books don't want to get hit.

If the books really want to blame someone for the players reaching and sniffing around they can blame BM, GA, and the like.

They have 2 choices after a BM goes down and the advertising site gets hurt, try to go beyond what defunct books tried to do to prove themselves or walk away from a battle not worth fighting.

I believe them when they say it is really a business decision and not personal. I for one appreciate a book that lets its actions speak for itself. Words even though correct, can be twisted 8 ways to Sunday and explode when someone speaks.

We simply decided to stop advertising on any forums, the RX included. Nothing more to it than that. I will still be in here from time to time as a poster. My friendship with Russ and Ken will not be altered. Contrary to popular opinion, it was my call to stop the advertising at both sites. Cascade is headed in a different direction. Thanks to all our supporters and detractors, as they have helped make us a stronger book.

A different direction? I don't want an excellent book to go in a different direction.

Beantown should not have to fester an unsettled claim until hell freezes over. Once a decision is made on this claim BT needs to let go. It is wrong for him to continually have to express his opinion against an otherwise excellent book. Remember book operators can be excellent in what they do such as Cascade but for the most part lack communication skills. This is where the moderators of this forum needs to intervene.

Nice post. I agree

I represented BTJ and he lost.

This took place many months ago.

Jim agreed for the 660 to go to charity which Lenny supplied proof of that it did.

What percentage of books do you think get blackmailed by these forums when they choose to stop advertising or if they chose to not advertise at all?

The way I understand it is that Cascade left all the forums, not just Rx. That would seem to say that they're tired of forums in general, not Rx in particular. I can understand their position, even if I don't agree totally with it.

Cascade is a quality shop. Lenny is a bookmaker's bookmaker. If I ever was in position to go for the Big One, this would be one of the places I would be comfortable going for six figures.

I remember back when I used PayPal, for some reason I was being charged an extra $10 fee from my bank. They gave me a $10 Bonus Play because of that. Same thing with Cris allowing me to place an "overdraft" bonus parlay. That's called customer service.

And yes I lost both.
