White Sox have to win the division for him to have a chance. Who would have thought he or the Sox would be in this position this late in the season?
Quentin won't even be close. It's between Hamilton and A-Rod IMO.
Dumbest Post of the Week.
Mark it.
Hamilton's Stats: .305, 22 HR, 98 RBI, .362 OBP, .339/6 HR/ 74 RBI w/ RISP
A-Rod's Stats: .318, 21 HR, 61 RBI, .398 OBP, .247/4 HR/35 RBI w/ RISP
CQ's Stats: .279, 26 HR, 76 RBI, .380 OBP, .340/7 HR/52 RBI w/ RISP
Tell me how the heck you can explain what you said? Just dumb, dumb, dumb. Out of the three of the Quentin is 1st in BA, 1st in HR, and 2nd in RBI's with runners in scoring position. Overall he's 3rd in BA, 1st in HR, 2nd in RBI, and 2 in OBP. And I only see him continuing to hit this way w/ A-Rod keeping up the pace as well, Hamilton however, I don't see it.
EDIT: you're canadian, of course.
Quentin has a MUCH worse BA, and A-Rod would have already ran away with the AL MVP if he was healthy all year. I hate the Yankees, but I can accept A-Rod is much better than every other player in the league IMO, minus maybe Pujols.
It's obvious you're letting your love for the Chi Sox get in the way of reasonable thinking. If there was one person from the three that is most likely to have a major drop off it is Quentin, and that isn't even debatable. A-Rod is the best hitter in baseball and Hamilton has killed it since he got back into the league (and plays in a hitters park with many good hitters surrounding him in the lineup).
If I had to guess I would say Hamilton wins it and deservedly so. The numbers he will finish are will sick. Quentin only beats him in HR's, so I don't know why you think he should be ahead of him at this point. So 4 more HR's makes up for a BA .26 lower and 22 RBI's less? That's stupid.
Quentin will end the year with under 40 HR's and under 110 RBI's. He won't be in the running at all. Sorry to burst your bubble.
PS: Chi Sox miss the playoffs.
