rules are rules, both the players and the books must stand by them EVERY time for them to maintain legitimacy. Making exceptions sets the precedent that exceptions are tolerated
Carib puts lines out for Week 1 very early...it's possible that they were holding a lot of action at the "worst" numbers...ie they could have had a lot of money weeks ago on Miami -3 and now have a lot on the new line of Ten -3...meaning they have a good chance at siding this game at +110 if the number lands, or even middling their players
easy way for a book to decide what action they want to keep or not
hypothetically, books that had all their action at +3/+3 could cancel and avoid getting sided, while books at -3/-3 could hold the bets
all wagers on this game should be cancelled per standard rules.
