A lot easier to keep people in the seats buying $10 sodas when you're not handing the ball off to the 3rd string RB the last 1/4th of the game.

Throwing the ball is one thing, but they even went for it on 4th down at one point in that drive instead of just kicking a fg. I've never seen that in that spot.

Cardinals took a lot of beatings over the years from the 49ers....Twice every season.

Pats have done it more than a few times.

It's been rare but it will become less rare going forward I'm sure. Teams know what people wanna see.

Scoring. Who the hell else is watching that game at 40-7 unless they got a fantasy sweat like you did?

You've seen it, you just don't remember.

Not *that* uncommon in lopsided games --- 4th and short, late in 4th qtr, why kick the meaningless FG? What does 43-7 accomplish, that 40-7 doesn't?

At least let your guys (and their guys) line up, and earn the 1st down.

4th and 1 at SF 12
(6:49) ARZ #53-Shipley reports as eligible. S.Taylor up the middle to SF 10 for 2 yards (A.Lynch).

This.

Amazing how misinformed the original opinion of kicking the fg was.

I wish every team would run up the score. You are professional athletes. No mercy.

Arians should be the Colts head coach. The Italian and Dungy should get together. Neither 1 of you are capable of fixing a defense.

it was risky leaving Carson in that long

For whatever reason, coaches often seem reluctant to pull their starting qb, even when the game has been clearly decided. Belichick rarely pulls Brady no matter the score. I don't understand that mentality, because as you say there would seem to be needless risk.

run the clock, get the game over is quick as possible with avoiding injury is the new goal. You are already up by 4 TDs and less than 10min left. Whats the benefit of leaving him in and to keep throwing the ball? Plus you cant compare any current coaches to Belichick, he is in his own league lol
