Lots of football left, and guaranteed to be a few suprise losses, so this is all for fun.
USC - Oklahoma: 1:2
USC - Miami: 2:1
Oklahoma - Miami: 3:1
USC - Purdue: 6:1
USC - Auburn: 7:1 (I think Auburn will lose at least once)
USC certainly could lose, but they have a favorable schedule the rest of the way. Oklahoma has games at Texas A&M and Oklahoma State..but also should go unscathed.
Miami's biggest hurdle is at Virginia. Auburn still has to make it through the SEC and the championship game, which won't be easy.
The surprise team here could be Purdue, who has Michigan and Wisconsin at home and would be deserving if they finish undefeated.
As undefeated teams lose it will be interesting to see where they get reslotted. Oklahoma got favorable treatment last year after losing at the end of the year...and probably would get the same treatment this year. But if USC, Purdue, or Auburn lose, they will likely be KO'd.
Teams like Florida State and Georgia still have an outside shot given their losses occurred in the first half of the year.
Personally I'd love to see a suprise team like Purdue or Auburn make it. I hate the way the system is set up from the get go with USC, Oklahoma, Miami getting top billing before a game is played.
WinOne likes no rankings until Oct. 1, but what difference would their be at this point...not much, except teams like Oklahoma State and Arizona State, who have impressive road wins, would likely be ranked higher.
