;;Ever took a look at pitchers in the year before a key contract negotiation(elgible for arbitration)..>>talk about motivation; and also the converse; a pitcher who was super tuff; signs a 6 yr/42 mill contract..>>all of a sudden can't beat the toledo mud hens..???

i have heard rumours that this can be a factor n certain situations, but not all.

Pops,

Just got your e-mail. Sorry I was out all day. I think I can do what you want. I just need the data for the pitchers & Teams. I don't think it should be a problem.

fyi, i just did both the summaries (popsummary and wa nps) using the pdws and took less than 3 min to do both just using the copy past special values command

cant remember ever seing so much read on any of these sheets ever. only one game tomorrow (without any ref info) show solid unders across the board at the summary levels

Pops whats this "special" cut and paste you speak of? Trying to figure out excel 2007. I like the One Note software too, its about time they come out with some shat like that.

Pops,

The PDWS sheet that you sent me. Does that have all the current pitchers we are using on it because I see that the salary sheet has many more pitchers. I am just wondering if we should add all the pitchers from the salaries one or just put the salaries on the pdws?

the only areas you need to use that would be the two tabs, wa nps and popsummary. those two are just top level pivot tables already setup for the day's schedule. you can do them the old fashion way by using the drop down arrows, but the fastest way to do both is to use the copy and past special "values" command.

1st download the pdws for the days schedule info, than open the master and do a arrange all, i like horiz vs vertical. you will have both sheets on one screen. click on the popsummary tab, it only has 5 cols that need info. col A,E,I,V and Z. so just go to the pdws and select each on of those, just select the 1st item, hold down the mouse left mouse button and drag all the way down to the last game, than say edit copy, go to the popsummary tab sheet col a3 and click on that cell and do a paste special and select values. this will keep all the format for all the cell so that you dont destroy the formating, just in case you want to change a single game for a emp change or something like that. doing all 5 in the pops summary should only take you a couple of min, than do the wa nps the same way but it has many more col of data that need to be entered and will take a little longer. both of those summaries are setup to make it easy to find potential ov/un games green indicates 60% ov, red indicates 60% unders

no, it needs to have all the pitchers from the list i sent you, that why they have the team next to the name for an easy sort.

on the wa nps summary, here's the col that need the copy paste special values command:

col D,E,E,L,P,Q,BE,BI and BT (use the visitor l/r pitcher col from the pdws) and BT (use the home l/r pitcher col from the pdws)

remember all you need is the pdws to do any day in the schedule for the summaries so, do wait for master data updates and they dont make much difference for a couple night of series data nor will it change or effect the next day umps as they only go 1 every 4 days

Cloudy and showers off and on in Seattle from looking out the window. My contact in North Bend says the weather headed our way will be more non-threatening clouds than rain. I'll keep an eye out for changes, my guess is an open roof for the Texas/Seattle game, but we'll see how things develop.

Pops, glad you liked it. Originally had "played chicken with skyscraper and lost" but I didn't want to lose my job as spokeman for all things politically correct "a la Don Imus".

Well your going to have to excuse me. I have to go to the bathroom and I seemed to have misplaced my copy of the first amendnment. looks like it's regular 'ol tp for me.

off my soapbox.....

I'm going with the over in the KC/BAL game

GL everyone.

Pops - not sure how you are using the salaries in your capping. I may be able to help you with WHIP however. I liked to take dogs whose SP had a whip of 1.20 on under. Usually a WHIP of 1.40 and up you can bet against if a favorite, and look at the over too.

Which sportsbooks are offering the best odds on dogs? I'm currently playing the 20-cent line at Greek. That's a hard way to go.
