POPS....My motherboard went last night on my desktop dell...WTF...This is going to be the THIRD motherboard that they are coming over to replace.....I'll be working from the laptop tonight men.....And POPS make a good joke about how I should buy a more expensive computer on a doc's salary.........lol....at least it is still under warranty

dell as you can get price vs performance. not many that i would even consider in a desk top, ibm thinkpad in a notebook now levino or something like that.

they brought out a mother board as well, i had them change the sd media drive which fixed the problem b4 that. with electronics, if they are going to fail it will be early on. this is from the mgr of is support operations world wide from harrah's here in vegas. never turn your desktop off, as a cheap fucken dds you prob turn in off even if you use it for 5 min than back on again for another 5

If anybody wants to spend the coin on a real computer, get a Falcon NW: http://www.falcon-nw.com/

They're billed as gaming computers, but all they really are is baby supercomputers. I've got a Mach V that I got for video editing, but it does everything, and fast. They're not for everyone but if you want something that performs and won't fuck up unless you fuck it up, this is it.

i'm a game person, but only on my 360 and ps3, not much for using a mouse for gaming, and like to lay my big fat ass on the couch and play laying on my back while getting a blow job on wheels (only when my wife is at the casino or out of town)

Won't boot up...starts and then stops...The f'rs at dell had me dismantle the thing taking out video cards and such...then they wanted me to start unscrewing things and I said i paid for at home service and can't waste over an hour playing computer repair man....they then said they would send a motherboard, motor, and modem card to the disptach and the guy will come over...don't know why they want to send me a modem card as I said i have cable?? Anyway the lights on the back of it "abcd" don't light up whatever that means??

Define "Won't boot-up"

Step-by-step:

1) Make sure the outlet has power

2) Check the power cord to the PC

3) Do you hear the fan blows when you push the power-on button? No? Likely a blown power supply.

4) Do you hear 3 lettle beeps when you push the power-on button as the black screen flashes? No beep could mean your EEPROM is gone. If you hear one long beep, that means your memory chips is fried.

5) Do you get the windows logo, logon prompts? No? Could be bad hard drive, or the drive is there but you lost your OS partition.

That'd be my process of elimination.

If it's the "abcd" light, then it's your Ethernet card that's not getting the signal from your cable internet router, switch

when you say wont boot up, does it just get hung up or does the computer actually turn back off?

You got a blown power supply is my guess. It's easy to replace, but gotta order the correct one as they're not universal. No beep, because there's no DC power to the motherboard.

its sounding like you have a bad power supply, could be motherboard but usually even with a bad motherboard your power supply should be on, unless the board is tripping the supply to turn off.
if you have a old computer, just pull it out and hook it up to the computer that isnt booting up. you can set it next to the computer and just plug it into the motherboard that wont start.
