or is it strictly a trend chart?

Pivot tables are just a name that Microsoft gave to a function in Excel; might be used for what you're talking about but I don't think it's why MS named it as such.

thx.
some info about minute maid park for future reference. they do not have any heat. last week when it was about 45 degrees outside at game time it was 58 degrees inside. it was the coldest ever inside temp at minute maid. the cards pounded out ten runs to the astros 1 on that day so it was counter-intuitive.

they also have a retractable roof and according to their website it is the widest retractable roof in MLB. the standard for the indoor temp in the summer when the outside temp is typically in the 90's with very high humidity, is 72 degrees and 50% humidity.

< 85 degrees and the roof stays open.

like capth said, it's just a name the MS calls the in excel. i just look at them as an easy way to find avg data fast so a numbers of areas that i like to look at data at vs the norm w/o going thru a bunch of information or different web sites. none of the info that the spreadsheet comes up with is magic or not available at any number of sites on the net. it's just that i can get at them much more quickly for anything that i'm keep data on, plus gives me an advantage of picking up trents a little quicker, and is only limited by the questions i can think of to ask what about questions

just some basic shit etc

Thanks Sin for the weather updates. What ballparks are most effected by the wind besides Wrigley?
A) Parks we are tracking where wind and weather more of a factor are:
Cubs, Clev, Det, Sfran, Milw, Mets, and Kc. I usually list these as A) and the others as B)

Roach,

Is you loyalty with the Phillies still or are you jumping ship to be a Cubs/Bears/Bulls fan?????? Another strong start for the season in Philly. Bring on them lottery balls, you never know, maybe Durant could land in the city of brotherly love.

fuck no. i'll be a philly fan till the day i die. i even set up a slingbox onto the basement tv at my parents so i can still get all philly stations on my computer and can watch phillies games on comcast.

i do plan on going to baseball games this year, but won't really be rooting for anyone unless philly is in town. though i might root for the chisox a little since they're local and not in the NL. but fuck the cubs.

no chance we get Durant. we're winning too many games. we'll probably have the 4-6 pick. at that spot i think we target Acie Law. at least i hope. but knowing the 6ers they'll draft a stiff like Noah or some european we've never heard of who'll suck.

Could be free money with the Timberwolves tonight. Dallas is resting their starters and Cuban is getting his first start of the year at center along with some towel boys and a fan who won a contest.

Just don't chase it up too far. I will wait until tip and see where the line is.

I have yet to bet this game and the problems with minnesota are they have sucked for months. It started when they lost at home to detroit in double overtime.

Dallas, even without dirk, still has plenty of talent.

Ill be fading steam in this game...if there is any, whether its on the dog or fav.

o/u same. line is already priced for dirk sitting so if minny is bet higher dallas is the play.

jesus if you saw the beaver i saw in the hospital today you wouldn't want it to go anywhere with you. i'm slowly starting to realize that i don't really like sick people.

Afternoon,

Its raining here in atlanta. Little bit of wind but not much. Few things to look out for is so far this season as far as the braves go. the bats for the braves have not really heated up till later in their games. So all you 2nd half guys take a look at that. Looks like ray king (nationals middle releif) went out of the game early last night because of an injury. Dunno what his status is today but keep it in mind. Nationals starters dont stay on the mound too much. Heard last night on tv that they average a little over 4 innings and then they call the bullpen. Although braves moneyline is juiced to hell, take a look at alternate run lines. A little bit better deal. Going to the Braves game on friday vs the marlins.

sin is right on with respect to the above few parts being the only ones that the odd makers even consider when i comes to weather. Milw is day games depending on the start times and sun effecting the batters even with the roof closed, cub strong winds in or out to left/center (they dont even post a line on this one until the next day, and watch it like a hawk) clev, det and sf are wind specific directions (still dont know the exact location yet) and mets and kc the last of the open outfields so those are in or out from left/center as well

if anyone follows those teams specifically and had more detail info, pass it allong to sin for his little black book

Roach, my friends bar is called Kevils, and is on circle ave. (which is near the el station) 1 block west of Harlem. Just ask for Frank, and tell him you know Frank. The north side of his bar has the Cubs game on, and the south side the Sox. He is a real nice guy, and funny as shit. The food is real good, but it is more of a bar if you just want a few cold ones...call me

I attend 40+ games in Milwaukee and left field is east. The only sun that can affect players is as sun going down in the west and come through the big windows affecting 3rd, short and left field. The batters have no problem with sun at all. just fyi
