Memorial Day Weekend

A salute to all military and all veterans this Memorial Day Weekend. Pops that old military uniform still fit and if so you where it over the weekend while dining on hamburgers and hotdogs? In any event below is a link which provides key posts since the thread started regarding baseball. It should help anyone explain how things are done. Have a safe weekend and good luck.

pops, I'm questioning the L15 calc. For example, take ARI:

Date............L15............Scored
05/22...........3.8............ 1 RUN
05/23...........3.3............ 0 RUN
05/24...........2.5............ 9 RUN
05/25...........4.0............ Pending

Doesn't it seem like too wide of a swing from 2.5 to 4.0 over 15 games average after a 9 run game?

i'm going for stars, come back and check a ton of may and get caught up on the posts

tb: remember it's day and home and away games so might only be a few games in depending on where they play during the past 15 days

Okay, that makes sense... I was thinking of L15 straight up.

BATR

it could be done but the amount of vlookup etc and additional calc for all of the season, l45,l30 and l15 would sure add a bunch of size and stuff to the spreadsheet. that would need to be sampled to see if worth while

too may other things i want to finish first. maybe something to do after AS break as it get pretty slow that time of year as most of the people betting mlb have either lost all of there money chasing the can lose 300 ml winners or holding for the start of football where they can lose more faster.

got my coffee and ready to go

while were talking about scoring home and away scoring avg, there's one other place in the spreadsheet where you can get home and away 5 day scoring avg, and that in the PercentagePivot at the top in col E & F, plus you can pivot this by any number of factors as well. although the title says 5 gm it really last 5 days

Pops, I remember in CBB you treated post Christmas break differently than pre Christmas break and in NBA after the all star game all the numbers changed...... Does the MBB all star game change things or is there another turning point.

Also SEA/KC game already moved 1.5. Dont know why the line opened that high but only one way to go now.

fuck which way would you expect that number to go with felix a 0.00 era away and gil 2.44 home and almost everyone that bets mlb only use era data. maybe a large cross wind today or a good ov/un ump. sure would love to see a 7 or 6.5 on a kc game. no star power to warrent that kind of number for these teams

btw i have a first pass on the new whip stuff. are you still using the updates?

i bet cbb completely different for pre x break vs the rest of the season. mlb after as break not the same animial. only diff i can recall is that the yanks as a large fav start to win vs not b4 as break

If the weather here stays the same, and its supposed to, I would expect some rain delays in the Ranger game. You might not lean to heavy on starting pitching cause a long delay and they most likely would not return. Its a shame because it sets up beautifully for an under play.

Will watch and if the weather outlook improves I will post.

i like taking those game with long starts and stops to the over cause the pitchers do not come back in most cases

quiet time so q&a if you got them

pops, I have a question. Where is the best site to find the mov for both the day and night games? Or is this something that you simply track yourself on a spread sheet. Thanks

Back from a ruff two days in Vegas land. Thought I could drink the RIO out of booze, we all know who won that battle. Hung over and have to start back to work on nights, not a good combination.
