come on dude, it was 50's night at sam's, beer 2 for a quarter

Well after the Braves win I'll have enough to buy 8 beers. I can wait that long.

Andrew Jones should have been out on a check swing and then he singles in a run and now they are up 2.

Note to all:

Jim Leyland is one of the best managers in baseball but today Scioscia got the better of him, especially in the bottom of the 10th after the leadoff double. He sent Hillenbrand out to PH for Molina (on-deck)... Leyland, seeing that, intentionally walked the next guy to get to him... He then sent Molina back out to bunt (One of the team's best bunters) and it paid off.

I had Detroit so I am pretty sick, seeing them battle back from 7-0 and then losing it. The same question must be asked...

WHY DOES TODD JONES NOT SET UP ZUMAYA?

I mean, when was the last time we saw ANYONE throw like that? And he's relegated to the 8th innings of games they are winning? THat makes zero sense...

Seriously, ends up that we took Ov 2 for last 8 innings, can't take the heat.

Installing Office 07 as we speak, can't wait to decimate the pivots.

There could be more runs in this game than the Nets and Raptors totaled in the 1st quarter.

wind does not help or hurt either way in that park

Hey pops somebody posted a link yesterday and it said this.

Dolphin Stadium blows.

When it comes to wind patterns, Greg has one favorite example ...
So far in 2006, the wind in Miami's Dolphins Stadium has been out to center field twice, right-to-left three times, and in from center field or right field 11 times, with an average in-speed of 16 mph (which takes 44 feet off of a typical fly ball homer). So, most of the time, hitters have to hit the ball an extra 44 feet to reach or clear the wall in center field or right field, which explains why there have been only four homers to center and five to right at Dolphin Stadium in the first 17 games.

Mike Jacobs is really hurting in Miami.

One player has found out about Dolphins Stadium the hard way ...
He's only got five homers, and his average is hurting right now at .217, but when he connects, the ball flies off his bat. The winds in Dolphins Stadium are killing him, he's only hitting .152 there, and if he were in a favorable right field home run park (like Yankee Stadium), he'd have 4-6 more home runs, and that right there would bring his average up to around .250. (Note: his OBP right now is .331, not bad really.)

His average standard distance for his five homers is 420.4 feet, better than anyone who has six or more (which is how many you need to make the Golden Sledgehammer list right now). In short, the trade winds in Florida that blow steadily from the east most of the time are obscuring Mike Jacobs' power potential...

Push in the second. Here's to Ov 0 for the last 7 innings if you got 10 in FLA.

Just opened my first master ss in 07, need something to calm me down. Giddy like a school girl.

i'm been there many times, that stadium is a high square box, and dont see the wind effecting much either way. that one game with eddings that played over two days had a strong wind to the outfield and a bunch of balls that were solid hit ended up as just long fly balls

THere is going to be a rain delay to the start in STL. Meriwhether was a big "UNDER" guy last year but that wasn't his "M.O" in 04 or 05... His strike percentage thus far this year is below 60 - making him a prime "OVER" candidate...

but if you didn't get it earlier, the value is gone as the poker players have bet it... and they are also out destroying the ChiSox/Kansas City "UNDER"...

Any of you guys get office 07 from the torrent file from nick fantana? I got it and tried installing it but I can't get it to install, the program keeps hanging up on my pc. Anyone else get this and have problems or did it install ok? Not sure how to fix it and I'm not sending bill gates another $125 after I paid for office 03 last year. I really want to be able to use the pivot tables
