Career Timeline

2004: Began the season at Class-A Vancouver. Made eight relief appearances, picking up a pair of victories. Promoted to Kane County and pitched exclusively as a starter. Made five starts, and posted a 2-1 record.

2005: Split the season between Class-A Stockton and AA-Midland. Posted a 6-0 record for the Ports, and a 9-5 mark for the RockHounds. His composite total of 15 wins led all A's minor-league pitchers and earned him Pitcher of the Year honors for the Athletics organization. Underwent shoulder surgery in the 2005-2006 offseason.

2006: Began the season on a rehabilitation assignment with the Arizona League Athletics. Made six starts, going 2-0. Moved up to Stockton, where was also 2-0, but with a high 6.23 ERA. Promoted to AA-Midland where he made one start, giving up six runs in 3⅓ innings pitched (no-decision). Composite 2006 numbers: 4-0 record, 4.10 ERA, 55 strikeouts and eight walks in 37⅓ innings of work.

I would use the minimum salary.

There's not much to go with a 24th round pick. What's the minimum for a 24th rounder?


Dallas Braden, lhp, Athletics Born: Aug. 13, 1983. Ht.: 6-1. Wt.: 185. Bats: L. Throws: L. School: Texas Tech. Career Transactions: Selected by Athletics in 24th round of 2004 draft; signed June 23, 2004. Signed by: Blake Davis.
Braden didn't receive much draft buzz as the workhorse of a surprising Texas Tech team in 2004, but Athletics scouts took early interest in him. He pitched very well down the stretch, striking out a career-high 11 against Mississippi State in the NCAA regionals, and carried that momentum into his pro debut after signing as a 24th-rounder. He completely overmatched short-season Northwest League hitters and fanned 15 in the third game of the low Class A Midwest League playoff finals. Braden's screwball is a true out pitch, sinking and running in on righthanders. He has decent velocity for a lefty at 88-90 mph, up about 3 mph from the spring. His changeup has 15 mph of separation from his fastball, and he throws his change with good arm speed and deception. Braden is an outstanding athlete--he hit .286 as a part-time DH for the Red Raiders last year--and fields his position well. There's some question as to how his stuff will play at the upper levels without a plus fastball, but Oakland believe he's a steal. He'll get challenged with an assignment to high Class A Stockton in 2005.

lol....today was the first day i sat down and played any games, was too tired to look at anything so I just played cap's 2 overs and cashed. Also went with bullets CLE pick, saw it a +100 and played it but Didnt realize It was the 5 inning line until just a few minutes ago. better to be lucky I guess....

2nd half Rockets -5 for me.

My GG posted the Jazz for the 2nd half plus the line move was perfect.

He also posted Angels under and I don't think it will hold past the 4th inning.

actually they are not bad at this age, and ok up to lets say 15-16. so when they get near that age, when they go to school you should move and not them her where you moved to and save yourself a great deal of trouble and money

15 or 16! my other 2 year old is satan in pig tails. Little shit is that kid you want to beat down when your at the local grocery store. Its prob my fault, didnt have shit growing up so I spoil the shit out of em.

Teach 'em to gamble and you won't have to worry about allowances through grade school & high school... and they will put themselves through college on their own.
