Pops in the master we know what the actual pitchers whip and salary is... but is there a key to correlate the actual to the numbers you have selected to represent the actual?

Also, someone posted this weather site in the baseball forum.

cpt and i have looked at everything that is required to do the Team Think like MLFP is doing with seattle

i our opinion it would take at least 1 hour per day per team to update and do all the data, which would need to be done the night before and than collected and matched with the opposing team to come up with game estimates

no knowing how lazy most of the people are that bet sports, i feel this is about 1000 times more effort than 30 people would be willing to put forth, or even 15 to do one league etc. it's been tough enough getting people trained and up to speed to do 15 min of work per day for 1 week let alone finding anyone that is willing to put out an hour per day, every day for 5 months.

so right now i will consider this a dead issue unless i get 30 people storming the ranch with pitch forks and fire

personally i feel the existing spreadsheet once we get 30 days of data is a much easier way to go as most wind up getting a free ride for most of the season etc

Somehow I had a feeling this is what I might read today, especially after spending 2 1/2 hours updating the Mariners sheet and making the Angels sheet for this new series. If I can get this thing simplified somehow I'll be sure to send it for re-evaluation, but until then I'll continue to see how well this works.

thanks for the root notifications! we have some good stuff for next year boys. some good CBB info post 1/1 and NBA root for the 2nd half as well. looking forward to that.

didnt see that weather link, the humidity for the cubs game that they are showing is over 10 points different than the weather service number which i just check at 48, so i'll stay with the existing source for a while but compair the rest of the game numbers

with respect to the whip, you know that the whip numbers we are using for april are from last year, and we will switch over to the actuals in may. the old pivot tables that i had in the spreadsheet about a week ago, if you have any around has closer to the actual values and had almost 50 data points and was just useless in my opinion

tell me exactually what you want to see and what it is your looking for and i'll see if it makes more sense than what we have

e.g. Say I want to look at the whip/salary pivot to find patterns, etc...I don't know how to translate the actual whips/salary given in the PDWS to the numbers you have chosen to represent the actuals in the pivot.

I hesitate to presume to interpret bullets, but I think he is referring to the separate individual scores of each team for the entire game, rather than the total of both teams scored in the first 5 innings.
