The Pirates offense is putrid? That's news to me - especially considering the Pirates have scored the fifth most runs in the National League and just 12 runs behind the second highest scoring team in the NL. I think it is a good spot for Cincinnati to win because Karstens should come back down to earth and Volquez could have a good outing but it won't be because of Pittsburgh's "putrid offense" Would you say the Mets offense is "putrid"? They have scored four more runs than the Pirates this year in the same number of games.

By the way, Pittsburgh has been of the best over teams all season. They have gone over the total 58.5% of the time this year. Good hitting and bad pitching is the story for the Pirates. Their offense is hardly "putrid".

I meant their lineup tonight is bad. Remember, all those stats you stated included Nady and Bay. Seven of their players tonight have 3 or less HRs. GL whichever way you bet...
