Canelo vs Lara - Sat Night title fight

De La Hoya said he doesn't like this fight for Canelo because he knows Lara is dangerous. I respect Canelo for taking the fight. I think he knows he needs a few quality wins to get a second shot at Floyd, but I also don't think DLH would have said that on camera if he really felt it. That's a PPV move.

These two guys are both arguably before the peaks of their careers, very strong fighters, should be a great fight at 154lb. Mexico vs Cuba at MGM. I'll be tuned in.

Does De La Hoyas' remark make this a pick? I'll take that +195 pick, but not for the max and not before introductions. Could be north of 200.

I feel like Canelo is the up and coming star, he's younger and if this thing goes the distance he has the judges on his side. Just my take. That +200 is tempting and there's a good chance Lara could pull this one out but I think the winning side is Canelo going the distance at +145, or the Canelo longer than 10 rounds at even money parlay.

In all seriousness, this decision could have gone either way, it all came down to round 12. Very even match, from a laypersons perspective, Lara's strategy was to get a quick punch in then dance dance dance, and I don't think that wins any friends among the judges. Look forward to the rematch.
