Canbet has ceased accepting PrePaid ATM transactions until further notice. They have also stopped moneygrams as well.

Regarding PPATM: Does anybody have info as to why? CanBet's Admin states they do not know the reason - basically management just informed them to cease all PrePaidATM transfers. They "think" it is because the transfers from PrePaidATM are taking too long.

Attempts to contact PPATM regarding have been fruitless so far...one email so far w/out a response

Anybody have anything info to share? I'd hate to think PPATM is going in the tank. They have been a great, reliable funding method for me in the past.

There is always more to the story. Sometimes thre is no good in saying why.

I agree general -- something is going on here. But I am more concerned about PrePaid ATM than I am CanBet. Therein lies my worry - is PPATM headed down the road of securebuxx?

This really sends up a red flag with me.I would probably say PPATM has been my favorite payment method overall.Canbet rates up there as topnotch in my opinion so if PPATM isn't good enough for them what does this really say?Could they being going down the tubes like Unsecurebuxx?

I'm not sure I'd continue using PrePaid ATM considering these facts:

PrePaid ATM is based in the United States, potentially leaving it open to more scrutiny than funding options such as NETeller.

PrePaid ATM’s ownership has already been prosecuted on online gaming related charges. He’s a “known-quantity” in the eyes of the same federal government that is trying to shut down offshore funding.

There's more to the story behind PPATM's ownership. Some of it can probably be found in old threads on this board and others. I'll leave those details alone ... Sting territory

Bottom line, there are less risky options for offshore transactions IMO.

PPatm's days are numbered. Western Union's may also be before too much longer.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. Until other heavyweights such as WWTS, Intertops, Cris etc, stop using them, I'll continue to use them.

Did anyone find out what really happened here with Canbet not accepting Prepaid ATM anymore? Was it just a decision on their part to eliminate any questionable payment options which may cause them problems with the U.S. in the future?
