Canadien checks

I've heard people mention taking checks to cash advance/check cashing places. Who will cash checks from outside the US? I'm 0-4 thus far.

How far do you live from Canada? Might be your best choice. Or you can just deposit in your account and wait forever how long it takes to clear. I would deposit it in my bank. If you're sure its good. JMO.

No problems at my bank...just looking to mix it up a little before it becomes an issue at my bank.

I'm actually close enough to Canada that i guess it's a possibility, never actually thought of that but I'd rather not deal with that.

The funds are US$ right? Just the Payor and the bank are from Canada. My bank takes them and just charges me $5 for it. No shot if the draft is in CAD?

Yeah, they're USD and there has been no problem with my bank. Again, just looking to mix it up with a check cashing place rather than taking all to my bank. No issues yet, but I don't want there to be issues. Probably me just worrying, but, that's what I do.

Is it a large amount?

My guess is youre overthinking it.
The one time I had problem with a Canadian check -- it bounced, bank called me. I said I was a freelancer and it was a paycheck. Contact the book, they resent the new one + fee for bounce check and it cashed no problem
