Vernon Adams had been healthy all year.....
now listen, I debated on whether or not to post this thread because I know some people are going to come out of the woodwork calling me every name in the book, and that's fine..... But let me say this... I don't like playing the "what could have been" scenarios anymore than the next person, and I understand as much as anyone how atrocious the orego defense was the first half of the season. I also am completely aware of the backup QB situation and how dysfunctional/appalling that was... But just for thoughts I got to thinking about it all...
its td likely that Oregon wins that Michigan state game on the overthrown ball Adams didn't have any touch for, or the many other throws he "sailed" and the few he under threw that led to picks.... I call it 50/50.... Maybe they win that game, maybe not.... Regardless, they would have pummeled wazoo in a game that probably would have been 65-48.... Leaving them with two losses because let's be honest, they still would have got wrecked at home by utah, that was just a catastrophe of epic proportions.... But that wazoo loss cost them the pac 12 title, and with only two losses coming to top 10 teams at the time and playing for another pac 12 title......... I'll just say this..... It would be very interesting
on a more serious note, I'm truly amazed by what Vernon Adams does. He got written off by many on this forum and many around the country, but plain and simple, the dude has balled out. In my eyes he's got one of the hottest hands in the country right now I'm terms of passing.... Him, Matt Johnson, baker mayfield and doughty from WKU.... The dude is legit, I tip my cap to him.
For or what it's worth I hope Stanford gets in to the playoffs, I think even with their loss to Oregon and northwestern they are still a fantastic team
just wanted to stir up a little conversation amongst everyone.
