I could never do much with the bench press. Must be my physiology. Before knee injuries set in, I could squat and leg press more than most of the bigger guys in my gym, but I must have always had some type of weakness that prevented me from putting up a big bench. When I was in my early to mid 30's, in the best shape of my life, I could bench more than my weight, and regularly did, but that didn't last very long.
Now, my elbows and shoulder are riddled with arthritis and i'm lucky to be able to get 165 up for any kind of reps.
