So tired of hearing how hackenberg is an NFL prospect, and likely the best NFL ready Qb right now lol...I get it, temple is a team on the rise who plays phenomenal defense and I love betting for temple. But that's no reason to make horrible decisions repeatedly. I knew temple would keep this thing tight this year and not implode, but I'm a little shocked they are putting it to pen state. Hackenberg has always been given every single write off known to man... Now his O line is better, has WR and Rbs yet can't make the throws and makes the same horrible reads over and over again..... He's bad... He's a bust... He has zero confidence, look at him on the sidelines, it's horrible composure and he oozes a dejected attitude. He single handeldy loses games for his team and I started saying it last year, and I'm going to keep saying it this year. The dude is not a good QB.

He looked real good as a Freshmen under BOB, BOB leaving to go coach the Texans was the worst thing to happen to him. He is shell shocked with that shit o line and terrible play calling, i think he'll be a decent pro with the right offensive minds

He's a combo of Cutler and Henne so NFL stardom isn't likely in the cards for him.

Watched him last year a few games and he was atrocious. I'm assuming he looked the same today.

Penn State offense as whole sucks. The only returning running back with experience is a junior, three of the top four wideouts are sophomores, five of six linemen with starting experience are either sophomores or juniors.

I am not one to toot the guy or anything but any QB would look like shit behind that offensive line. When will people learn that the OL is the most important position on the field as it dictates everything good or bad in a game.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg is leaving school early for the NFL.
Hackenberg declared his intentions following a 24-17 loss to Georgia in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Saturday.
“This place means a lot to me,” Hackenberg said. “It’s been an awesome ride, tough way to end it today. It means the world to me. My family and I talked about it and we felt this was the best decision for me. I felt my role here and my job here has been accomplished.”
Hackenberg left the game in the second quarter with a right shoulder injury. Linebacker Roquan Smith landed on his shoulder after a scramble. Hackenberg stayed in the game and threw four more passes, but grabbed the shoulder between plays.
He headed to the locker room after an incompletion and returned for the second half in street clothes. He said he wanted to play, but team officials told him no.
“It is what it is,” said Hackenberg, who hadn’t missed a snap in three years before Saturday. “I’m disappointed I wasn’t able to finish the game.”
Hackenberg said he made his decision to turn pro before the team left State College for Jacksonville.
Hackenberg, a junior, is the school’s all-time leader in yards passing (8,457) and touchdowns (48) as well as completions, attempts and total offense. He completed 8 of 14 passes for 139 yards against Georgia.
Redshirt freshman Trace McSorley replaced Hackenberg and completed 14 of 27 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
“Things are in good hands moving forward, and I’m proud about that,” Hackenberg said. “I did get emotional about it, had a little break down in the locker room but all is good. We’re moving forward.”

He makes his line look worse than it is, inconsistent with his drops, indecisive with the ball, doesn't see the field. Agree to some extent on a broad level, but this guy is shit.

Before he went out, there was not much difference between him and Grayson Lambert.......if that tells you anything.

What did Richt ever see in Lambert? He flat got beat out at Virginia by Matt Johns if that tells you anything. Hackenburg sucks. Extremely weak class of qb's coming out this year compared to last few years
