Can these Warriors beat the 1986 Celtics or the 1987 LA Lakers?

I find this to be an interesting question. Would love to hear some thoughts.

My knee jerk reaction, my gut and the old man (i'm 41) in me says no way, not a chance....only problem I am having is the same one teams are having vs GS...3 points is worth ALOT more than 2 points. The Celts and Lakers are better basketball teams, if that makes sense.

I know one thing for sure......Jabbar and Parrish would have a field day against Bogut......Both guys would dominate the paint for 30 a night.

I want to say no Golden State couldn't but impossible to say.

It's even difficult to judge how good the Warriors are today with the questioned competition they have faced the past couple of years...

I would give the Warriors the guard play Curry/Thompson by a mile over Johnson and Ainge.

For the 3 big men.....Bogut,Green and Barnes......They would get eaten up by Parrish,Bird and McHale.

Lakers look like they would sweep the Warriors.

I cant give the guard edge to the Warriors.....Not against Magic and Scott.

3 big men.....Jabbar,Green and Worthy.

Lakers have a solid bench to boot.....Rambis,Cooper,Thompson.

Lakers would destroy the Warriors 4-0

The Warriors can never play in those days.....To physical for them.

The Knicks and Heat in the 90`s would push the Warriors around.

Anthony Mason and Charles Oakley would blow on Steph Curry and knock him down.

John Starks would head butt Steph Curry....lol

Every argument you just used about how physical teams were back then, can also be used with the LeBron vs Michael argument.

Imagine if it were flip-flopped, with Jordan playing today with the rules & style of play catering to the offense, and LeBron dealing with just the opposite back then...

I hear ya.....Michael got hit hard back in the day and he still dominated the sport....That was a physical era.

Now a days he just might score 40 a game.

You couldn't drive to the hoop in the 90`s without getting thrown to the ground.
