Can the Eagles Cover?

Well the Eagles are 4-5 ATS at Home. They lost to SF, and didn't cover vs GB. But they are 13-2 SU in their last 15, and 11-4 ATS.
However, most of the fundamental matchups SEEM to favor Carolina.
I think the Eagles win, but don't cover.
What do you think?

after losing two nfc championships in a row, the eagles HAVE to be hungry for this win, and they wont want it to be close. if they can handle carolina's front 4, they should win and cover.

I think they win, but don't cover. 20-17 or something. This city will be a morgue for a week if they lose this game.

there is the chance of a 3 point win, but if its that close i like carolina's chance to win it.

my gut feeling is philly wins big.

I like Philly to put together a solid game and easily cover! I'll take McNabb over the 1st year wonder QB in this BIG game. Too much at stake for Philly here. If you do remember earlier in the season the Panthers lost at Atlanta with Vick at QB. I see similarities with McNabb and Vick being as mobile as they are..McNabb will spread the Panther "D" with his mobility. Philly D will step up BIG too!! Bottom line I feel if you have a really mobile QB who can get out of the pocket, that gives the Panthers stength which is the D problems. If anyone is wondering about the Dallas game with Quincy...HUGE difference here with McNabb!! Anything could happen, but that's my take...Eagles roll into the Super Bowl!!!

jimmy johnson will have some blitz packages waiting for him now w/ vincent back playing tight man to man

if philly def makes car 1 dimentional. delhomme will lose the game on 3rd downs.
philly run def had problems w/ straight between the tacles tough runningbacks. they however can stop the cutback quick backs. they are not big and strong , but they are quick and gangtackling group. i see alot of 3 and outs

philly likewise will not be too sucessfull against the car def. so the reason again is

Win but no cover. I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina wins, they are the better team and this is coming from a Philly fan.

Carolina will cover if not win. It's going to be close IMO.

Right Side Sports: "1st year wonder" is incorrect...Jake Delomme(sp) is in his 4th year in the NFL... I do agree that McNabb is a better overall QB, but Jake D. has played like a champ this year.

Sorry about the wording used for Delhomme....I meant that this is his first BIG year because nobody has ever heard of him for the past four until this year..Good stats, good year, but feel in this game he will struggle a little..

Boy was I wrong so far...14-3 Panthers right now...Doesn't help McNabb is hurt. Philly is WEAK!! I think they are worse than the Bills consecutive Super Bowl losses back in the 80's. How many chances can you get..at home and everything!! WoW!! This Panthers team reminds me of the Ravens a few years back having an average QB who just gets the job done with GREAT "D"..Should be a good Super Bowl..
