Detroit sucks. They got schooled at home by a Jags team that isn't very good and was laughing at them. I realize that a very solid trend is to take a team that had been blown out the previous week but this is rediculous.

Detroit is down to their 3 string QB, traded their #2 WR, they just got blown out (and laughed at in the process) at home, and now play a team who underperformed the previous week, is a solid running and defensive team, QB had a bad game, blah, blah, blah.

It reminds me of Miami last season. They had no answer for stopping the bleeding.

after Jake's performance last week I wouldn't trust laying 14 points. he looked like Jamarcus Russell in Oakland

You can't ignore Oakland defense. With that said, Carolina is at home with Steve Smith and Mussin Mohammed to counter a very solid running attack. Grass will also slow down any speed Detroit may have.

What about the Double Digit dogs this year....Hey I wouldn't play Detroit either but they hung with Chicago on the road and Minny....just playing devils advocate here.

That's why I created this thread. Advocate away!:103631605

who else does Detroit know better than Chicago and Minnesota? Aren't most divisional games close?

I hear ya, but what about all those other DD dogs that come out...I know that every week I have picked a team in a survivor pool for my dad because he knows nothing about football, and every week the team I tell him is always losing and comes back to win but never covered and this week I told him to take Carolina, so I'm kinda expecting it to be close for that reason also. Who knows I need to win some games tomorrow I had a horrid day. down about 9 units and would like to make back at least 4

If you work your ass off every day and continue to lose after 9 games, how would you feel?

If your top 2 QBs were placed on IR, when one of them was fine to play 2 weeks after he was placed on IR, how would you feel?

If you traded away your #2 wr, how would you feel?

If you were laughed at last week, how would you feel?

If you were to go play on the road vs 7-2 team who likes to play smash mouth defense and run the ball, how would you feel?

If a drunk continued to ask you questions, how would you feel?:toast:

Take the points. I can see Det. covering with some garbage time scoring.

I'm sure somebody in this forum has the numbers, but I think double-digit dogs in the NFL cover more often than not...

As somebody pointed out above, I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina winning, say, 28-10 with 3 minutes left...then Culpepper throws a few 20-yard passes to ultimately score a TD with less than a minute remaining.

Final score 28-17, but the game was never close. You lose. JMO.

Double digit dogs are 12-1 ATS this year. That won't last. Regression to the mean. Play the DD Favs this week (Det; Mia).

I think you're on the right side cashmoney.

I tried.

[PS: Double-digit dogs in the NFL were 2-0 this week...taking the season to 14-1]
