There has been a back to back no-hitter before, but if Buehrle throws back-to-back perfect games, that would be on another planet. Basically the equivalent of a golfer nailing two straight holes in one...or a bowler throwing about five straight 300 games.

Incidentally, anyone on here know whose record he broke with the most consecutive batters retired...? I do...

Believe it was John Montague, a run-of-the-mill pitcher with the Mariners back in the late 70's.

jim barr 41 retired in 72 playing for sf and jenks in 07 -41 straight
